the teacher is very good. the board is somewhat more confined than in subsequent DVDs in the series. i think he makes the occasional minor slip on the board--he should have admitted it in front of the camera and cleared it away at once. the DVD would have become much more useful if some computer graphics had been used--for example when plotting functions. finally the box in which the DVDs are contained is very practical

I have all his DVD's. The lessons are great. They cover the basics that are important in the class. Of course not all information is covered in the DVD's. Think of it as an overview of hot topics. I have used these DVD's before I took a class and them reviewed them along the way. I also have purchased some of the idoit and dummy guides as a type of work book. They all together give you a different way to look at the math martial. Because as you know, most math books are written by brainy math folks, and they are not the easiest to follow.

I bought this for my son who was struggling with Algebra 2. It has helped him tremendously. It is not a substitute for doing homework or for class participation, but it has helped him to better understand concepts he wasn't quite grasping on his own while studying whatever his teacher assigned, and using class notes. It's a good supplement.

It seems suspicious to me that the only review written by 18 of the 23 "5-star" reviewers is for The Algebra 2 Tutor. I have to wonder why so many customers who are so passionate about sharing their opinion would only do so for this one item in particular. Hmmmmmmm?????

This product is fantastic for me as math has never been my strong suit. I needed to take an assessment to test high enough to get into the one and only math class I need to obtain my degree. The easy and convenient format I'm sure will assist me in doing so.
