One of the best live bands I know! Fantastic atmosphere, genious frontman, strong drummer, great dvd!!!

5 out of 5 stars mute math "flesh and bones electric fun" live dvd   January 20, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

this is one of the top ten live dvd concert videos of all time, with the new "u2 3d" live concert/movie coming out soon also in the top ten. as far as the passing of time and our kids listening to the favorites from the past that we loved this is right up there together with "stop making sense" by talking heads.

my 22yr old son just introduced me to mute mate this past year and he was raised to the talking heads stop making sense live concert/movie at a VERY early age and flesh and bones is his newest favorite live dvd concert.

4 out of 5 stars One of my top 10 concert dvds!   December 18, 2007
Mute Math is a great live band and this concert shows exactly what they do onstage. Saw them this past November in Houston and even though they change their onstage climax depending on the venues, the energy, quality of sound and rich tapestry of their performance does not.

This is a showcase of their new stuff from the self titled album and I have to agree that this sounds a lot better than the studio tracks.

Pluses: Great video (excellent transfer), very good sound even if it's not 5.1, nice extras with backstage, touring and studio supplements. My favorite: the acoustic jam of Reset!

Minus: Video - the entire concert should've been filmed for 16 x 9 HDTVs. Only the acoustic version of Reset is in widescreen. Sound - needs to be dts or 5.1 but the PCM stereo still sounds very good.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for people that enjoy high energy rock, great imaginative instrumentation and fans of Mute Math... a MUST BUY!

5 out of 5 stars Great live performance   September 23, 2007
This live performance is great....it definitely showcases their many talents as musicians and performers. You can hear the influence of the police on them as well as being from groove oriented backgrounds. Even if you didn't dig their single "typical", if you're a musician or someone that truly appreciates talented music (since it's rare these days) definitely pick up this DVD.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Electric (and Weird) Band around the Globe!   June 29, 2007
Let's talk about MuteMath, they are cool, the music is fantastic, they invite you to dream in every track it's like a rollercoaster, both of your albums are great, I like all the songs, the voice of Greg Hill in this concert simply *Shined* , all the guys in the instruments... excellent....all the instruments seems to be poor, but I know you will be surprised, and much he he.
Ok, MuteMath, as a band, in this concert, are excellent, over 100%, but talking about the DVD production, God... It's Mutemath!!!! The disc company (Warner) don't think beyond??????
All the instruments, all the show presented, I think it deserve a DTS, or 5.1 Dolby Digital Mix Sound minimal, it's a shame, we are in 2007, I can't believe the audio mixer engineers can mix these shows in 5.1 or 6.1... The Audio mIX is the only thing that dissapointed to me, it's in PCM sTEREO 48 BIT!!!! (CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?????) I hope MuteMath and the production think about these little things that talks about the production quality... the image are good, the cameras are Ok, covers all the show very good... the scenario is everything that MuteM needs... perfect, simply and perfect... I bought this DVD and I no regret of it, it's great excepting the audio Mix. Thanks Amazon, I live in Mexico and thanks to you I have the first MM dvd... I never get this here... Great service!
