Amazing to Watch these guys!!! October 21, 2008 This DVD is nothing short of what you could expect from the MUTEMATH boys... and that is: AMAZING! It has their hard to capture, insanely entertaining live show performance and has great sound quality allowing you to hear the absolute talent that these boys share! I highly recommend it for any MuteMath or Music fan alike!
Great! August 29, 2008 One of the best live bands I know! Fantastic atmosphere, genious frontman, strong drummer, great dvd!!!
mute math "flesh and bones electric fun" live dvd January 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this is one of the top ten live dvd concert videos of all time, with the new "u2 3d" live concert/movie coming out soon also in the top ten. as far as the passing of time and our kids listening to the favorites from the past that we loved this is right up there together with "stop making sense" by talking heads.
my 22yr old son just introduced me to mute mate this past year and he was raised to the talking heads stop making sense live concert/movie at a VERY early age and flesh and bones is his newest favorite live dvd concert.
One of my top 10 concert dvds! December 18, 2007 Mute Math is a great live band and this concert shows exactly what they do onstage. Saw them this past November in Houston and even though they change their onstage climax depending on the venues, the energy, quality of sound and rich tapestry of their performance does not.
This is a showcase of their new stuff from the self titled album and I have to agree that this sounds a lot better than the studio tracks.
Pluses: Great video (excellent transfer), very good sound even if it's not 5.1, nice extras with backstage, touring and studio supplements. My favorite: the acoustic jam of Reset!
Minus: Video - the entire concert should've been filmed for 16 x 9 HDTVs. Only the acoustic version of Reset is in widescreen. Sound - needs to be dts or 5.1 but the PCM stereo still sounds very good.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for people that enjoy high energy rock, great imaginative instrumentation and fans of Mute Math... a MUST BUY!
Great live performance September 23, 2007 This live performance is great....it definitely showcases their many talents as musicians and performers. You can hear the influence of the police on them as well as being from groove oriented backgrounds. Even if you didn't dig their single "typical", if you're a musician or someone that truly appreciates talented music (since it's rare these days) definitely pick up this DVD.
