| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Produced by 30 year teaching veteran, Dave Patten, Ph.D., cognitive learning specialist. This series insures a enjoyable first experience with algebra for children in grades 6-8. ALGEBRA = FUN is also very effective when used for a positive "reentry" experience for older students. The eccentric, warm personality of "Doctor X2" and his "wacky weird alerts" make it easier for the children to accept the confusing differences between math and algebra. His motto is "Not hard. . . just different!". The simple multiple choice format makes it easy to get the right answers. " Doctor X2" makes difficult concepts like additive inverses, negative numbers, radical signs and exponents easy. Affordable too, when compared to $120.00 for four hours of tutording. Algebra = Fun is composed of 16 enjoyable lessons in 6 hours of instructions on 2 DVD's. Students learn the shape and form of algebra assuring a real foundation for continuing success

Do NOT buy this!!!! December 13, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this DVD to help my son with his math. The DVD was likely filmed in some guy's basement. I kid you not. There is NO production value. A Joe Pesci looking man standing in front of a plate of glass writing algebra equations on it. That is it. I though it would be a Bill Nye sort of approach to math. Not at all. The DVD says professor X2 is "Wacky" and "Eccentric". This consists entirely of him raising his eyebrows and throwing his hands up in the air. He is downright scary at times. BORING. DO NOT BUY THIS DVD!!!!
