Product Description 20th Century Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (DVD + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs opens with the stitched-together prehistoric family about to become a biological one: Manny (voiced by Ray Romano) and his mate Ellie (Queen Latifah) areexpecting a baby mammoth. Unfortunately, this makes Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo) and Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Denis Leary) feel left out. Diego, who worries hes losing his edge, decides to head out on his own, while Sid adopts three suspiciously large eggs that hes found through a crack in the ice. Up to this point, the movie is perilously sappy--does anyone, particularly a kid, want towatch a kids movie about parenthood and impending middle age? Fortunately, the eggs turn out to bedinosaur eggs from a pre-mammalian underworld, and when the mama T-Rex comes to rescue her rambunctious little ones, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs transforms into a delightful comic adventure. The emotional side of the Ice Age movies has always been a tad mawkish, so its smart that Dawn of the Dinosaurs emphasizes physical comedy. Clearly, the animators have been inspired by a wild fusion of Road Runner cartoons and Buster Keaton. The character of Scratte, with his non-verbal, monomaniacal efforts to get that last acorn (doubled in this movie with the addition of a female counterpart), is only the most obvious reflection of this sensibility.

The animators have great fun with the differences in scale between the mammals and the dinosaurs, and the introduction of a deranged Australian weasel named Buck (Simon Pegg, Shaun of the Dead) pushes everything into Loony-Tune territory. Let Pixar tug at our heartstrings; Ice Age aims to tickle the funny bone and does a fine job of it. --Bret Fetzer Stills from Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Click for larger image)

Another Great Pixar movie March 14, 2010 Cameron MacDonald (Middleboro, MA USA) Following along in the Ice Age theme, this movie finds the "herd" Manny, Ellie,Sid, Diego, Crash and Eddie discovering an under ice tropical world populated with dinosaurs. It is a very beautiful and lively adventure with the back theme that Ellie is going to give birth at any given day and the way that it affects the herd. Sid and Diego in particular. It's wonderfully done, full of action and adventure and the usual interaction with the main cast. A great movie overall!
I thought it was better than 1 and 2 March 9, 2010 Disabled Smurf (NY, United States) Ice Age 3 was a very adsorbing movie with it's excellent look and unique story. I bought this on Blu-ray hoping it would be better than the second and i was excited that it was. So far, i've watched it twice and wouldn't mind seeing it again. The comedy would have you smiling throughout the movie until the end when everything gets a little serious. I don't want to give away too much information but I would recommend this movie to all ages and especially for anyone who likes a good laugh.
Great kids movie March 5, 2010 Leonard Weiss (Hollywood, FL USA) My grandchildren loved it and have watched it many times. They are ages 6 and 8.
adorable ! February 15, 2010 M. Welch (DearbornHghts,Mi) This movie is just adorable... teaches love, loyalty and the importance of family and friendships.. my kids just love watching it.. the animation is outstanding !
Just as Great as the previous titles February 11, 2010 IISquikII (Fresno CA,) I've bought this movie for my son. Following it's two predecessors we wanted to have it. If not a good movie at least to have the whole collection, once we watched we find out that in deed the movie is worth spending the money on, is just as good as Ice Age and Ice Age the Meltdown.
This movie has one great new character: Buck, I love the mix of whatever he is and a weasel. He is adventurous and very funny not to mention cool. Combined with Crash, Eddie, Sid and Buck this movie is a knock out!
You'll be laughing more then often.
This would make a great family movie to enjoy when visit comes over or just to enjoy alone. I love it
