One Last Dance February 28, 2010 Elinor G. Stratton (Winn, Maine) Beautiful movie with Patrick Swayze and his wife Lisa Neimi in the leads. Great for people who like dance movies, incredible for people who like Patrick Swayze. A must see!
One Last Dance February 18, 2010 Tauna M. Grilli I absolutly love this movie and the music. I think That Lisa Niemi and Patrick Swayze made a truly wonderful movie. The way they danced is magical and the songs were great.
Complex, but Stunning! February 11, 2010 Michele Zerbe (Indiana) My mom and I watched this movie together after I purchased it here. We are definitely Patrick Swayze fans, and enjoy watching the occasional dance film. The storyline is very real and believable in terms of the different kinds of stress and torture a professional dancing career can often cause. Just a tiny bit long, but a great, poweful movie. One strange thing we noticed was that even though Lisa Niemi is pictured on the box wearing pointes, not a single step of pointework is seen in the movie. Not particularly misleading, but some would have been lovely to watch. The best part I think, was after this movie I Googled Lisa Niemi because she obviously had been a dancer, and wrote and directed the movie. For being Patrick Swayze fans, we never knew Lisa was his beautiful wife! Watching them together was so fun and intense and now we know why! If you enjoy any kind of dance at all, this movie is worth it!
A project of love January 30, 2010 Juliet This is a beautiful love story. The dancing and the chemistry between them is beautiful to behold. I loved the movie! It's so sad that Patrick had to suffer so much in the end.
Powerful and In Relation to the book "The Time of My Life" It is important to watch January 28, 2010 Claudia Branham (NJ) The movie alone was phenominal; the dancing was like a breath of fresh air, as always the case when you see Patrick "Buddy" Swayze dance. He has the right looks (attitude), moves and finess, of only the best perfomers in the arts.
The storyline is more related to his life than you think; there are things in the movie that like me, you may have thought they were just part of the story, but if you read the book that he and his wife Lisa Niemi wrote "The Time Of My Life" you will learn that there are definite parts in the movie about Patrick that could not be just coincidence...for this reason I suggest that you buy both the book, (and I am not going to review that here) and the movie and then you may learn even more about Patrick and Lisa that you never knew.
Even if you are not a "Swayze" fan, but a fan of dance or ballet, you will love this movie....
