Amazon.com Big Bird and Telly Monster lead young viewers through the alphabet, letter by letter, in a magical and imaginative half-hour discovery of letters and their sounds. The perfect tape for young Sesame Street fans who are just beginning to get the hang of what letters are all about, it includes short skits, songs, and other bits of business--some original, some culled from the Sesame Street show--featuring a variety of Muppet characters as well as the human residents of that famously educational thoroughfare. --Marshall Fine
Product Description It's alphabet day on Sesame Street and all the letters join in. Each letter is used separately and in words and stories.

sesame street February 8, 2010 V C Andrews (GA) My 2.5 yr old loves to learn and this learning ABC's really re-enforces her alphabet and allows her to identify the letters vs memorizing the ABC song. She loves repeating the letters with the sesame street characters and it has helped her to recognize letters EVERYWHERE we go which is great.
Abusive Ads December 9, 2009 Spiff (Virginia, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This dvd opens with a 2 minute long unskippable ad. Fast forward, menu, title -- All disabled.
We don't watch it, because I have to watch the ad to be around to press play.
Video content is not bad, I guess.
Forced to Watch Commercials! June 10, 2009 S. Reps (Connecticut, USA) 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
My 3 year old loves this video. It's entertaining and very clever. It also has some priceless vintage footage I remember when I watched Sesame St. 5 Stars! Especially when compared to the new Sesame St. The new productions of Sesame St. are horrible! Long, complex, conveluted scripts that do nothing to promote learning. Yes, 5 star video, but unfortunately, they lose 4 stars for forcing us to watch a commercial for the Childrens Television Workshop at the start of the video. There's no way to skip it, fast-foward or go to Menus... All commands are blocked until the commercial runs its course. OK, I'm sure it's a worthy cause, but I purchased the rights to this video, so I should not be forced to watch their ad. I've had to sit through it countless times! I get it! Now let me have the ability to skip it if I want!!! BTW, same issue with "Learning About Numbers"
5 STARS! June 6, 2009 Izzes Gram (Maine, USA) I'm surprised we haven't worn this video out yet! We watch it over and over again. My grand daughter will be 2 in July and has been watching this since last winter. She has been saying her alphabet for some time now, sings the alphabet song and knows her letters when she sees them.
bring back the old sesame street...PLEASE April 17, 2009 John W. Engelbrecht (pa) THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO FOR CHILDREN. IT IS THE OLD SESAME STREET AT IT'S BEST. THE NEW SESAME STREET IS OK BUT THE OLD SESAME STREET IS MUCH BETTER FOR CHILDREN.
