Purchased this for my mother as a Christmas gift. She loved it. She's loved the series since it first aired.
So this was a great nostalgic gift for her.
She really liked the extra special features too.

My faviorit childhood show is absolutly Little House On prairie I love this show so i had to get season 1 its the best season because the careters are new and fresh the show was a absolute watch for my whole family when i was a kid and even today when i see a rerun on the hallmark channel i will stop to watch it its so enertaining and ya got to love the cast they all were great.

I don't want to waste everyone's time here just like to mention that there are a lot of deleted scenes from this series. A VHS version I have of "Town Party, Country Party" contains the full length unedited episode but the DVD version does not. A number of episodes in this Season 1 package have been edited. Very disappointing.... Many of theses episodes have just aired recently on cable in their full length unedited form... Why edit them for U.S. distribution? Do a web search on Little House deleted scenes.
