The Game Boy is that small, colorful handheld video game system that's clutched by folks playing it everywhere. Quality or not, the entire library of games designed for the original system is playable on Game Boy Color, but buyers should note that not all Game Boy Color games will work on the original Game Boy system.

The Game Boy Color system is available in an exotic array of colors and special editions. Accessories and add-on peripherals abound, enhancing the playing experience with everything from vibrating feedback to in-game bumps and crashes, extra battery power, and even a clever camera package that allows players to capture, tweak, and print images.

Pros:
- The ability to choose to play as a boy or a girl
- Defending Pokemon perform animations when sent into battle
- New Suicune side-plot
- New Unown side-plot
- Game intro is different from Gold & Silver, and IMO more entertaining

Cons:
- GBC/A only
- Like G/C, only has a certain amount of Pokemon
- Not as good as the upcoming Ruby/Sapphire versions

Overall Crystal is near perfect but still has the same flaws as Gold & Silver versions. I suggest saving money for the Ruby/Sapphire versions coming early 2003.

just to quash thew rumor you cant catch celebi in this version only on the japanese version can you catch celebi

I rate the pokeman crystal bundle a five because it came with a game for $79.99 the game boy by its self is $69.99 plus the kids loved it so I feel it was a good deal.

Simply the best handheld Pokémon game out there. I just love the battle animations. Unfortunately, being an old style cartidge, it sticks out the top of my Gameboy Advanced which can get a bit annoying. i can't wait for Nintendo to release the Pokémon game for Gameboy Advanced.
