| Customer Reviews: rip off January 12, 2010 M (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The game is boring, the graphics are bad... Since even my 5 year old daughter thought it was bad, I used it to explain what rip off means: use the chipmunks to sell a boring game.
Don't waste your money December 30, 2009 L. Branch (Deep South) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
My Kids got this for Christmas. They say its the most boring game they have ever played. I will be taking it to gamestop to trade it for something else. The people who created this game should be ashamed of theirselves for allowing this game to be sold. Please don not buy this game.
Could be way better... December 14, 2009 Dustin Cherock (Pittsburgh PA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
It is pretty obvious that the creators of this game pushed it out without putting any real effort into it. Just like the other alvin game, the cutscenes between the shows is just stills of the chipmunks. I thought I was back to playing games on the original NES with crappy cutscenes. The only difference is they actually talk now. My girlfriend and I bought this for her daughter, she was able to beat the levels simply by shaking the wii-mote and nunchuck frantically. There's no real challenge. After she went to bed, we took 2 hours to try to unlock as many songs as we could (there are some descent songs, only reason I gave 2 stars) and we ended up beating the game in one night. Only 25 songs. 25 songs, easy to beat, we didn't fail one level, bad cutscenes.. overall D-. Hope the movie is better than the game...
Alvin and the Chipmunks is boring. December 11, 2009 A. Green 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakquel is the most boring game I have ever played. I think that I am going to have to exchange it before I give it to my eight year old for Christmas. The chipmunks aren't even animated between the levels. They might as well have used paper dolls if they weren't going to have the chipmunks mouths moving while they were talking to you. Even during the level the only thing you do is move the controller up and down to catch the circles or music notes. Its not even fun for the first five minutes. Alvin says "You get an A for Awesome" every time you get something right. I must have heard him say it about 20 times in the first 20 minutes of playing the game. It got annoying very quickly. I'm not sure if it gets better after the first three levels but I don't think that I will ever find out.
