Amazon.com Product Description
Since its inception, Xbox 360 has set the pace for digital entertainment. That pace has now been quickened with the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console. Along with features standard in all Xbox Elite consoles, the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console comes with an exclusive design inspired by the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a copy of the standard edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360, two black Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers and a massive 250GB Hard Drive, making it both a true value and collector’s item for Xbox 360 and Call of Duty fans alike. The Console Designed with artwork inspired by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this limited edition console measures 11.5 x 11.8 x 7.5 inches and is less than eight pounds. It's powered by custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU with three symmetrical cores each running at 3.2 GHz. It also carries 512MB of GDDR3 SDRAM, a custom ATI graphics processor and 10MB of integrated video memory. This makes it powerful enough to draw 500 million triangles per second. In other words, users can expect great looking games in standard TV definition, and even better graphics quality when used with HDTV 1080i televisions thanks to the console's built-in HDMI port*. It also supports the widescreen 16:9 format. The unit has a 12x dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, which plays both the game media and progressive-scan DVD movies right out of the box. Game, exclusive console, 2 controllers and 250GB drive in one bundle. View larger. | Exciting new 'Call of Duty' action. View larger. | Full Xbox LIVE support. View larger. | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter and the sixth entry in the popular Call of Duty series. True to its name and following the lead of its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it places players in modern combat settings, as opposed to the WWII environments of the earlier Call of Duty games. This modern approach brings with it new weapons, action and options. Coupled with a variety of gameplay modes including single player, multiplayer and a co-op Ops Mode, it is destined to be one of the most popular games of 2009 and a worthy addition to the Call of Duty series. Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive In modern console gaming hard drive size is an ever growing concern. The 250GB detachable hard drive included with the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console allows gamers to maximize their Xbox 360 entertainment experience without a worry like never before. With this new, larger drive users can save their games as well as store television shows, movies, music, pictures, trailers, levels, demos and other content available from Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Go Online with Xbox LIVE Xbox LIVE is the online game and entertainment service exclusively for Xbox 360 owners. A built-in Ethernet port on the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console allows users to connect to the service via their broadband connection. As with all Xbox 360 consoles, users can connect to Xbox LIVE via their free Xbox LIVE Silver membership to take advantage of free game trials and have immediate access to HD movies and game add-ons like songs and characters (all sold separately through Xbox LIVE Marketplace). They can also upgrade to Xbox LIVE Gold to maximize their Xbox LIVE experience. Included with your console is a free one month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold. Xbox LIVE Gold features the best in gaming and entertainment. Invite friends from all over to connect and play online multiplayer games, watch thousands of HD movies streamed instantly from Netflix**, video chat, gain early access to additional downloadable content and more. Two Wireless Controllers Included The Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console includes matching black wireless controllers, making it easy to get in the game with a friend right out of the box. Xbox 360 uses a refined button layout for its controllers. Back and start buttons sit at the center of the controller and between them is the Xbox Guide button, which instantly takes the user to the Xbox 360 user interface. From there, they can check for friends online, access personal digital content like photos and songs and more. Xbox 360 can accommodate up to four wireless controllers and has three USB 2.0 slots to use for wired controllers or for streaming your digital media from digital cameras, MP3 players, and any Windows XP-based PC. Love this thing! November 19, 2009 E. Smith (Glen Burnie, md United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The ONLY negative that I have to say about this is that it didn't come with a data transfer kit to move data from your old 360 to your new one. You have to purchase the new one by calling XBOX360 customer support (or going on line) and its a $12 charge. BUT they were all out and didn't know when they were getting more in. So I painstakingly re-downloaded all my content after transferring my license. It took 3 days, but the beauty of it, I was able to do it from the xbox360 site. So everything downloaded fine and this XBOX360 is the bomb. Now with he bigger hard-drive, I can download those XBOX original games. Plus you can install the MW2 on the 360 and play it from the hard-drive (you still need the disc to act as a catalyst). The reason you want to do this is that in the long run, it saves the wear and tear on the XBOX because the disc isn't constantly running.
As far as the game itself, it is difficult on any level which I really like. You will die a lot, one of the coolest thing is to ride the snowmobile. So single play is very very good and multi-play is awesome (even though I get smoked alot). I like the design of the box itself and it seems quieter than my previous system.
399.00 is a great price considering you are getting 2 controllers, the game and 250GB HD, headset and the system. It doesn't come with a HDMI cable, but you can get one of those cheap nowadays. And the wireless controllers are not the rechargeable kind. So you are going to have to buy an extra battery pack if you don't already have one. Its good to be consistent and buy the black rechargeable packs.
The XBOX360 as a whole w/XBOX Live is far more enjoyable than the PS3, in my humble opinion. Because if you have netflix, with the 360 you can put movies in your instant cue and watch them immediately, with no disc to insert (unlike the PS3). And they just added last.fm, facebook, twitter and zune.
In the end, if buy a lot of content from the XBOX Live Marketplace, than this is the system you want, the 250GB, if not, you can't go wrong with 120GB xbox-360.

Wait until the last minute November 18, 2009 Nathan P. Londak (Uden, NL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am anxious to get this system and game for the MW2 edition Xbox, a little ticked about NOT receiving it yet after pre-ordering on Sept. 15th and i know of two people that use the same mail system i do at the same post office, that pre-ordered the week before it was released and have it already. I don't know what the deal is but i think amazon needs to get there pre-order system straight and not take the people that order two months in advance and put them on the bottom and the people that pre-order the week before release on top. Doesn't make any sense to me. So my recommendation is to pre-order close to release and wait til the last minute so you can get your stuff first...
As i not so patiently wait until tomorrow to drive and check my mail for the 8th time......
Great addition to the XBOX series, but still lacks in some areas November 18, 2009 David L. Beveridge II 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I like the XBOX, but I like COD MW2 even more. I was very surprised by how the game played out. Not predictable at all! I've already played through it once, and I was very impressed. I also have an 80gb PS3. The PS3 seems to run quieter. I like that the PS3 has blueray, free playstation network membership (unlike XBOX Live where you have to pay), and built in wireless internet receiver. I think it's ridiclous that you have to spend another $80 for an external wireless internet receiver to put on the XBOX. Also, I feel that the format on the home screen of the PS3 is better. It just looks smoother, and it has a cooler look IMO. The main reason I wanted an XBOX was because I missed playing HALO. Plus, there are a few games for XBOX that for some reason are better than the PS3 versions for various reasons. That being said, the LE XBOX is a decent deal. You get a game, 2 controllers, a head set, and a huge hard drive. Plus it's limited edition.
Great console! 250GB Elite AND Modern Warfare 2!!! November 16, 2009 B. Snider (Corn, OK USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I could list pros and cons but why? There are only pros to buying this setup. So on to the pros:
Modified Xbox 360 Elite color scheme that fits in well with other components of a home theater system.
Modern Warfare 2 game.
250GB hard drive.
Two black wireless controllers.
Great price for the included goodies. I just wish it came with a HDMI cable, I knew that it didn't I just wish it had.
As other reviewers have stated, the jewel case for MW2 was fractured badly and I had to replace it with a generic one. That seems odd that this issue has come up repeatedly.
