Excellent Baseketball Game! March 19, 2010 G. Eng (Pittsburgh) This is an excellent game with lots of options. At first, I was frustrated by the seemingly insane difficulty. Then I realized, the offensive/defensive options allow you to tailor the game so that it's as hard or as easy or as realistic as you want it to be. Really, in an indirect way, the offensive/defensive options let you determine how easy or hard it is to use the WII controller. Okay, visually the game is not all that impressive. But the gameplay makes up for it. If you're a sports fan, I highly recommend this game.
Pretty Good Game March 15, 2010 Antione Patterson (Richmond, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pretty good game. its not the best graphics at all for the game. I mean some of the players look just like they are in real life (which may not be good sometimes) and other players look like crap. The wii remote and nunchuck is way to hard to master so I play with the classic contoller which helps extremely. I love the player progression and trades and roster updates that are automaticly done. The association mode is pretty cool because they keep up with stats that are on going such as: On the headlines they will say Dwayne Wade has scored his 10,000th point in a win against the Bodcats. Also its cool you can change the names of the prospects when scouting. Also its good and bad when you can change a players role, contract, attributes, and everything else about them in the Association. Lets say you want to sign A.I. you give him what he wants to sign. Once he agrees you can go in and change his contract all around. Or if i want to be cheap I can give Hassem Thabet a pay reduction because I don"t want him to be paid 3 million a year so I'll give him about 450K.
DEFENSE SUCKS!!!
There is no way you can stop the pick and roll. And the guards make impossible shots. You try to use turbo to keep up with the fast guards like Devin Harris but then he stops and you keep going so he hits a 15 footer. Its very rare to block a shot so don't count on Dwight Howard to block anyone's shot at the end of the game. You also cannot stop the back door cut even with help defense (IF YOU ARE PLAYINGA ATLANTA, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO STOP JOSH SMITH ON THE BACK DOOR CUT)
The upside is the cpu can't stop your pick and roll either and if you can drive someone is going to cut (which is a great thing...FINALLY A LITTLE OFF THE BALL MOVEMENT BY THE CPU).The dunks are amazing but can be kind of repetitive and the big centers that are 7 feet and up dunks look to fake unless you dunk over someone or its a reverse dunk.
But its pretty good game for the Wii. We have to remember its a Wii. Wii won't look like a PS3 or 360 for another good 3 years. So we have to deal with it.
WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY! February 3, 2010 Jaydddddd 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've read in previous comments that this game has some bugs but I figured it wasn't going to be that big of a deal, so I went ahead and purchased the game. Big mistake!! My Wii is almost brand new and I've never had problems with any of the other 6 games I have. But playing NBA 2K10 for just a couple of days now, the game has frozen the Wii twice, and on several occasions while playing the game an info box pops up showing all the players coming in off of the bench but the box will stay there for minutes, blocking a large chunk of the screen while you are trying to play the game. Also the graphics suck, but that is to be expected from the Wii.
Kobe is on the cover... enough said! February 2, 2010 Ms. Melinda J. Peterson (cali) This game is great! It has lived up to all the hype. The graphics are amazing.
Real good Basketball fun. February 2, 2010 Crispin W. Woodley (Sandy Point, St.Kitts) first of all the only thing I think is wrong with the Nintendo WII version of NBA 2k10, is that the graphics is very poor compaired to the PS3 and Xbox 360 version. Now on the flip side this game is off the chane, it's a fun filled basketball game. It's all you will ever expect from a basket ball game. Thanks 2k sports for such a great game, keep on making more like that.
