5 out of 5 stars great mouse   November 19, 2009

I really like this thing.
I gave it 5 stars on everything except battery life
because I haven't had it long enough to evaluate that.

5 out of 5 stars Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000   November 18, 2009

First wireless mouse I've purchased and this was a great choice. Movement is precise on all kinds of surfaces (at least every surface I've tried it on so far). Sensitivity is good. I don't know about battery life yet as I've only had the mouse for a couple of months. I'll definitely buy another one for another computer we have.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing little mouse!   November 15, 2009

It works flawlessly in any surface!
The best mouse I've used. It is on the small size so, if you have big hands it could be a problem.

4 out of 5 stars Wow-best MS Mouse ever--and works great with a Mac!   November 12, 2009
GORU (Midatlantic region)
I am another picky mouser; use with new MacBook Pro and it's much nicer than the Logitech V220 I was using. Got tired of the clickey-clickey when scrolling; tested it out and love the slightly different shape/feel. Very elegant looking with black and silver, next to my MB Pro with black screen edges and alum. body.

Biggest thing so far (less than a day) is the quiet mouse scrolling; worked great out of box with Snow Leopard; didn't need to check MS website for driver update for SL. Adjustments for scrolling and related functions were very helpful to me.

The tiny dongle/transceiver works FAR better than on my old MS Mobile mouse 3000, which was awful in that regard. Never thought I'd buy an MS mouse after that one, but the scroll wheel noise was really getting to me.

And it finally has an on/off switch which my 3000 does not have.

All in all, so far, so fine!

3 out of 5 stars flimsy scroll wheel kills this mouse   November 6, 2009

This is an otherwise great mouse - right size, good touch and feel, small USB plug, light weight, however, the flimsy scroll wheel is the weakest point. It is not solidly mounted - upon slight pressure, it can move up and down, left and right. I am not sure if I got a defective one, or every one is like this. This is very annoying - all mice I have (even including ones costing only $10) have better scroll wheel feel.

What a pity Microsoft can't invest a bit more on this. This is definitely a deal killer to me and I have to return the product to Amazon.
