Product Description
Its something better than a Blu-ray player when you can stream thousands of movies, videos and shows direct to your TV from CinemaNow and other streaming entertainment on the Internet. Not to mention it plays Blu-ray discs in stunning 1080p, Full HD and up scales standard DVDs in near-HD quality.

5 out of 5 stars Great but you must wire direct.   March 13, 2010

Mine is wired direct to my internet modem. Great for streaming from Netflix and YouTube. My regular DVD's are greatly enhanced. This is a discontinued model so beware if you want the newer model.

5 out of 5 stars Great, easy to use player outstanding pic quality   March 12, 2010
J. BARTLETT (U.S.A.)
I bought this unit with a LG37LH50 1080 HD tv. Very easy set up using an HD cord, also from Amazon. Quality of the movies, even those not blu-ray, is so clear that I can't even imagine how it could be better. Controller is easy to understand and use - very user friendly, unlike my last unit that I never did fully understand.

I have not hooked it up to receive online, Netflix, Cinemax or Youtube. It requires a splitter, running a second cable, a modem or going wireless. It is not a feature that is important to me since I receive Netflix by mail, and Charter cable HD gives me access to all the movie channels and many free channels as well.

4 out of 5 stars Great Bluray   March 11, 2010

I bought this Blue ray player to go with my LG LCD TV. Great match and no problem with use.

5 out of 5 stars Loaded with features at an exceptional price.   March 10, 2010
Cool Breeze (Oregon)
I've had this unit for about a month now. After my old DVD player was broken I decided that an upgrade to Blu-Ray was a better decision than a simple replacement and after pricing quite a few players and comparing their options I was very impressed with what this one had to offer for the price. So far I haven't been disapointed.

It is connected to my HDTV through my Pioneer Surround Reciever using Hdmi cables.

The one thing I'm not completely happy with is the mp3 player software. It has no features for setting up playlists or viewing large libraries. This seems like a standard shortcoming of usb mp3 software on all of the media players I've seen though so I can't really fault this player for it.

Netflix and YouTube are simple to use.

The usb media player works well and is easy to use if not terribly flexible.

The setup and installation of the unit was easy and intuitive. No problems encountered.

All of the features worked without any special effort.

Quality is at least as good as any HD player I've seen or heard.

3 out of 5 stars a few annoying features   March 8, 2010
Maxie (Stoneboro, PA United States)
My first BluRay player...I like the quality of the machine;plays discs beautifully, runs Netflix very well. My first complaint is this: if I watch part of a disc and shut the machine off, I have to look for my place in the movie; it doesn't cue it up for me. Secondly, on the Netflix side, it has to download my Queue EVERY TIME I TURN IT BACK ON!!!! There are 400+ movies in there; it take an annoying couple of minutes.
I would definitely do more research the next time I buy one. Other than these 2 things, it does a nice job.
