These AmazonBasics CD-Rs seem to be very good quality. I don't really care who actually manufactures them, as long as they work. And they do. I burn lots and lots of audio CDs to play in my car. So far I've burned about 16 CDs using the AmazonBasics discs and they've all burned and played perfectly. I also backed up a bunch of photos on a few of these CDs. No problem there, either. My normal brand of blank CDs is TDK, and so far the AmazonBasics brand seems to be pretty close in quality. Now for my one complaint, which may seem very minor to some people, but is a pretty big thing to me: I can't stand the shiny/glossy label side of these blank CDs. Most blank CDs on the market these days have a matte finish label side that is easy to write on with a Sharpie and doesn't show fingerprints. Yes, you can still write on the Amazon discs with a Sharpie, but the ink isn't as "bold" as it is on a matte finish disc. Add to that the fact that the label side is a fingerprint magnet and...well, I just don't like the shiny/glossy top surface. Like I said, probably a minor thing to most people. But it's something that will probably prevent me from buying these discs in the future. A note about the packaging, too: Like others here, my CDs were packed in small cardboard box, which was packed inside a bigger cardboard box with the standard "bags of air." Granted, the cardboard is recyclable, but the outer box was probably unnecessary. Kudos to Amazon for Frustration-Free Packaging, but how about using LESS packaging?

Up until recently I always thought that if I got a "coaster" then it was my fault and I shouldn't tinker with something that works (firmware, software etc). However after purchasing a spindle of DVD+R media I found that sometimes....just sometimes you can get a spindle that will produce one bad/failed disc after the next. It was a definite first for me, something heard of but never experienced.
This is not the case with this set here. I've been very pleased from start to finish. I've worked my way through these disks and haven't had one disc fail on me. Every CD plays perfectly in my car and on the stereo in my home.

Good CD's, they work great, all burned just fine, we have not had a problem. They can burn a full 700 MB CD in 90 seconds, and they have a 1 year Amazon warranty! Why take chances, buy these for a no risk purchase. IF you shop here you already know about Amazon's GREAT customer service & shipping with NO sales tax! I Know of what i speak! I live in TN (the tithe state!) we pay 9.85% tax on EVERYTHING food medicine, you name it, so purchasing through Amazon is a way of life for me & my family!
BTW: The tops of the CD's look real shiney just like the bottoms, kinda cool, I think...
