4 out of 5 stars Kirby amazes, but a little too simply   November 15, 2009

There is no denying that Kirby Superstar Ultra is a good game. There is plenty to do and unlock, with basically twelve different games to play all with different stories. Some games are from old games and some are completely new.

For each game, I noticed how they were all different and yet the same. The Gourmet Race seemed to me like it should have been a sub-game, but I realized it is incredibly fun. Some of the games are intended to take much longer than others. For example, Spring Breeze (the very first one), should take you about ten to twenty minutes to complete. However, later ones may take an hour.

My favorite thing about the game is all the forms Kirby can turn into. Although they all might not be helpful, they are all interesting to try out. Somehow, the strange ones like Yo-Yo and Umbrella helped me the most even though they are not as cool as sword and fighter.

When you get bored of the repetitive levels, you can play the interesting Sub-games. These games vary, but they are all similar in a way. Four out of five of them test your reflexes and see how fast you can tap a target, press a button at a signal, hit the correct card, etc. They will keep your appeal for about five minutes at a time, and they are much more fun in multiplayer.

Speaking of Multiplayer, you must have two games except for Spring Breeze, probably because it is like a demo. Multiplayer is okay, but the second player has way less control than the first player, which is annoying. Gourmet Race is the most fun with Multiplayer.

What is wrong with this game is the arena modes. There are THREE arena modes and all you get to do is fight all the bosses in the game. While the true arena is the hardest, I found Helper to Hero the most fun, seeing as you play as any helper of your choice.

Another problem with the game is that it is too easy. You can blow through each game in an hour at a maximum. Most of the games do not make someone want to play them again. The game relies on the arenas for any real challenges, and the arenas are not really that fun after trying them a few times.

Overall, this is a good game and well worth buying even if there are a few issues.

4 out of 5 stars A simple game, but very fun!   September 22, 2009

It's a very fun game, my only complaint is that it's rather easy...until you get to the last few challenges which are bloody hard...But I've had a lot of fun playing it.

Basically there are many different adventures for you to go through, by completing levels you can open up other adventures or mini-games to play. There's one adventure where you get to play as Meta Knight, which is very cool.

All in all, it's worth playing, whether you're a kirby fan already or just want to try a kirby game.

Not the greatest game. Its really easy, really really easy. Super princess peach is better and so is super mario brothers.

4 out of 5 stars great game   August 1, 2009

Overall I thought this was a very entertaining game.I also thought it was very easy. It was nice to have multiple little games in the package. I foud myself playing the whole game in the first day and was a little worried that I would be done and tired of the game. I got most entertainment out of the Great Cave Offensive because it took me the longest. That game lasted a long time and was one of the best parts of the game. Milky Way Wishes was also a fun longer lasting game. I found it great for kirby fans and a great easy platformer for beginners.

5 out of 5 stars Puyo puyo, KAABII!!!!!   July 30, 2009

My kids love this. Their favorite one is Helper-to-Hero. They have good titles like Revenge of the King and Revenge of Metaknight. When you're battling Metaknight, you got to spam that B button!
