there's a lot of engineering in there bernoulli's principle states that as the speed of a moving fluid increases, the pressure within the fluid decreases.when wine is poured in the vinturi, its design creates an increase in the wine's velocity and a decrease in its pressure. this pressure difference draws in air, which is mixed with wine for perfect aeration.

Received the Vinturi Aerator "With FREE Pourer/Stopper" and it wasn't at all what I expected and it was in a different box than pictured above. The small box contained only the aerator with stand and pouch, the pourer/stopper was a cheap blue plastic one which could be bought for $1 at any hardware store and there was no stopper at all, and it was just thrown into the plastic mailing bag. I could have just purchased the aerator for somewhere between $5-$6 less and gotten the box with aerator in it. What gives? I think you need to look into changing your distributor for this product (Potential Dynamix LLC). I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

I was given a Vinturi as a gift and was shocked when I saw that it sold for $50 at local wineries. I found it on Amazon and have ordered a few as gifts. This is a must for any wine lover! It makes it possible to enjoy a glass of red wine that requires breathing right after you open the bottle.

By using this product you immediately enjoy the essence of your favorite wine without waiting for the wine to open up by having the wine bottle stand open for a 1/2 hour to have it breath...just swirling the wine in the glass does not do what this device will do...enjoy your wine immediately...

make nice sounds when pouring but I have tried it on many guess -- bind taste test and it is a flop.
what else can i say.
