Clue Hints for Level 3 (inspector) March 4, 2010 Justin A. Goldstein I play with six players and difficulty level three all the time and win over 50% of the games. I did some research and found out that the AI for the game is extremely sophisticated, although it is not indicated by the computers notes. You have to develop interesting strategies and take down many notes to win. Definitely make note of all the cards the other players do not have. When it is revealed that Mrs White does not have a card to show, make sure you note which cards she does not have in her hand. Down the line you can use this information: If she reveals a card and you know that she does not have 2 of the 3 cards guessed, you now know which card she has in her hand. Another strategy is to take note when the computer reveals a card to another player. For example if Col Mustard guesses Ms Scarlet, Knife, Lounge and Mr Green shows Mustard a card, make a note that Green has at least one of those three cards. As the game progresses you may get a free card out of this for example if you find out that Ms Peacock has the knife and Mr Green does not have the Lounge, you now know that Mr Green has to have Ms Scarlet in his hand. These two strategies and good note taking should give you more success on the hardest level.
"CLUE"--Money well spent!!! February 14, 2010 B. Delgado (Moore, SC) Clue is my favorite game. This version is great because it is for one person. I love the board game but have to wait for one of my sons to come home to play with me and my husband. I'd like a CLUE for two people. I do wish you could reverse your move if you want to go into a different room. I love this game and it is well worth the money.
Just like playing the board game February 11, 2010 E-ticket-lizabeth (Overland Park KS, USA) My son loves Clue, and he loves computer games, so this was a natural fit. We'd actually played the demo versions before, so I knew we enjoyed this. It gives him something to do when I have to be with the baby, and it gives us something to play together when we don't want to get out and set up a whole board game (and risk having the baby eat it!). It's thoroughly enjoyable--and boys being boys, he thinks the scream at the beginning is pretty cool!
Good solitaire version of Clue December 10, 2009 T. Cooper (Atlanta, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works like you would expect. The fun is coming up with a notation system for your clues, so that you can track who has what, who doesn't have what, and who might have what, and make logical inferences as the game progresses: just like the real game. The only improvement I can think it would benefit from is network play.
Love it! November 30, 2009 tyger88 (AR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
CLUE was always my favorite board game as a kid so I knew I'd enjoy playing it on my PC. I've had absolutely no problems (so far) with this software and I've played it quite a bit since receiving it a week ago. It is exactly like the board game except you play alone against at least two other computer-operated players. If you like solving mysteries and trying to figure out who dunnit, you'll enjoy CLUE. It's a fun way to exercise your brain and kill some time. My only complaint is that I wish the characters could talk just a little bit...but not too much. All the throat clearing and gasps get pretty old and you just want to turn the sound off since you don't really need it anyway. Oh well, it's still fun to play.
