Your Favorite Hero in Lego Form LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy’s entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Of course, pop culture’s most iconic archaeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games. | Key Features

Nintendo DS Indiana Jones review August 20, 2009 Gaming Mama I LOVE this game!!! It is a typical lego game.....bashing or building things and collecting the studs. I didn't experience the freezing issues that others seem to have had. My only issue with this game is that I am 99% finished with it and I am missing ONE gold statue from the "rescuing Dr. Jones" level of the game. I've played that level OVER and OVER and I can't find it anywhere! And once you find all the blue lego bricks and drop down the big "X" in the floor to the cavern....is there a way to bash the skeleton that is across from you? I've tried guns and swords and every other weapon. (Just wondering if that is where the other gold statue might be that I'm missing.)
Anyway......love the game and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it :)
great game for 7 year olds July 6, 2009 Tokyo Mama (Tokyo, Japan) This is my seven year old son's favorite DS game. the perfect game for a 7 yr. old boy. It seems to be the most popular DS game among all his friends. He also loves how the game mimics the movies.
mediocre June 12, 2009 Joel Tunnah (Brooklyn, NY) I'm very surprised by all the positive reviews for Lego Indiana Jones. I found this to be a very mediocre game, with many poor design choices.
Graphics: The cutscenes are horribly lo-fi and pixelated. During game play, they are just ok - nothing amazing. But there are some issues: namely, things don't line up like they should. It's very easy to fall off of things, miss jumps, etc. The controls are often slow and innacurate in response. This is the only DS game I own where I have to push a button multiple times just to get the action to take place once.
Gameplay: very little thought needed - you simply smash every object you run across. It's not that fun after about 5 levels of this. Also, if you move too far forward on a screen, you often get sucked into a new cutscene, and you are taken to another screen, or blocked in some way from going back. Thus, you miss out on all the red bricks and other treasures from that level.
Saving: you have to play for a VERY long time until you can save. I mean, like hours. Why?
Story: the screens loosely follow some scenes from the movies, but on the whole I was not left with the feeling that I had just walked in Indy's shoes through the movies.
Summary: I am disappointed, and I will be trading this in.
who knew? April 17, 2009 Derrick Jenkins (Hampton VA USA) You could have so much fun playing Indiana Jones and as a bunch of lego blocks no less. You are able as you progress through the game to pick up and play as other characters in Free Play mode. Which is basically you running through the level again. But having access to characters that you've unlocked throughout the game. It's at least 60 characters that you can unlock and while some are the same character with different customes. It is still very cool to have that option if you so choose.
The game itself is very fun and can be played by just about any age group. I picked it up and finished it a few days later. While the overall length of the game leaves a little bit to be desired. It doesn't detract at all from the game as a whole. The graphics are pretty solid for a DS game and didn't encounter any bugs(others may have) or other issues while playing. It is something that anyone looking for a fun and engaging game to play should pick up.
Plus the price at 19.99 is rare in this day and age of video game prices. Lego Indiana Jones warrants an inclusion into your gaming library and once you buy the game. You'll really enjoy it.
Son loves it. April 5, 2009 kathi (Texas, USA) My son saved his money to buy his own DS, and I agreed to buy two games. This was one of them. This one is a little easier than Legos Star Wars.
