3 out of 5 stars Perfect Shot for Wii   November 21, 2009

4 out of 5 stars Great quality, nice trigger, but no front sight post   November 20, 2009
R.S. (Arizona)
Unlike what some other reviews have said, I do not think the grips on these are too large. They are about the size of a real handgun (with a dual-stack magazone) and pretty comfortable. The controllers fit nicely, unless you have the after-market Nyko remotes. Since those have a rubber grip over the battery compartment (making it about 1/32 of an inch larger), they will not fit well in these guns unless you remove the battery cover or replace it with the cover of the Nintendo-brand remotes. This was surprising to me since these guns are made by the same company Nyko!!!

Overall, these are very nice remote holders (especially for the money). They are solidly made and the trigger is among the nicest on a wii guns I've used. The only complaint I would have that seems easy to fix (I wish Nyko could read this) is that the orange plastic clasp at the front of the gun does not have a front sight post built into it. It would make the aiming much more realistic and easy to do if they added that tiny bit of plastic. I am going to figure out a way to modify it to add a front post on my own, but overall this is a quality gun with a comfortable grip and very nice trigger. If either it had a front site post or they could have built the tolerances slightly larger so that their own Nyko brand wii remotes would have fit unmodified, I would have given this gun a solid 5 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Perfect for Wii shooter games   November 16, 2009
Nuknuk (Springfield, VA United States)
This is the perfect gun accessory for my House of the Dead Wii game. Out of all the Wiimote add ons, this one from Nyko feels closest to what a pistol gun is. I tried the official Nintendo Zapper, but it was awkward; both in how it looks and how it handles.

Pros
+ Closest to the real gun feel and experience. Comfortable rounded handgrip.
+ Well balanced weight distribution
+ Simplicity in design
+ No blister pack frustration
+ Reasonably priced

Cons:
- Problematic for smaller hands as the handgrip is thick. That makes the trigger finger, which is your forefinger tires faster.
- Has to remove the wrist strap to set up
- No nunchuk placement. For games that requires a nunchuk, you will have to connect the nunchuk at the base of the grip where it dangles.
- Only color is white.

3 out of 5 stars Beware of Inaccurate sights   November 16, 2009

This is a decent product that is well made and sturdy.
I bought two of them when House of the Dead came out and in all honesty I was pretty disappointed overall.
I didn't have any latency issues etc but the gun isn't even close to accurate if you hold it out in front and look down the sight line. The shot will hit the screen several inches below where you are aiming which makes it pretty worthless overall. As such accurate shots can be a problem to obtain.

This isn't a defect but a design flaw since accuracy is perfect when using the Wiimote alone, its due to the angle the Wiimote sits once popped into the gun.

Other than that it is a good product and I suppose it doesn't matter much if you shoot from the hip so to speak.

I kept this review short since there are tons of reviews here already and this is about all I could think to add that people may want to know.

4 out of 5 stars The idiot at the game store talked of us out of buying these.   November 13, 2009

Good thing he did I got them ten dollars cheaper on Amazon!!!! Ok he said making dud walk around with the gun on was hard, so the ther other kind of huge cross bow type was easier to use. Well we play House of the Dead 2 and 3. I don't give a crap about running from zombies. I just shoot them, thats all I so is shoot them, I just point and click the trigger. So having this is awesome versus shooting zombies like I'm holding a remote control. IF you like to shoot zombies like I do, you will like this gun. There are downsides, life can't be all zombie shooting smiles, I shoot real guns, this is wierd after shooting them, but once you get used to it, it rocks. The handle feels short, I wouldn't buy this gun if it was real because if it bottom ejected the clip it would pinch my hand. Since this gun isn't real it is really more of a comfort level thing. And the main reason I give it four our of five stars. It fits aftermarket battery packs in the wii controller very tight. That is kind of good because in zombie hunting fury you can really be whipping that gun around.
