Let's be honest. I needed Word for newsletters and written reviews.I bought Microsoft 2000 because it's out of date and therefore, cheap. It doesn't do all I want it to do, since Microsoft teases you with buttons to something you want to do but can't do on 2000. That's because they've produced a new version at a horrendous price which they are pushing at the moment. And I refuse to pay their horrendous prices for the latest version.
I don't like Microsoft's tactics, but I have to admit that they produce a good product and by and large, Microsoft 2000 does produce most of the things you want of it.
Consider it before you get stuck with the more modern, far more pricey editions which don't do all that more than this one can do.
