5 out of 5 stars Perfect solution for an on-the-go 10-year old.   August 20, 2009

I had bought my 10-year old nephew the game as a gift for his PSP. He hit a point where he just couldn't move to the next level - and this book solved the dilemma. It's filled with the details he needed. He absolutely loves the maps, tips, descriptions and pictures of everything - and, most importantly, it's kept playing the game enjoyable for him.

While some other reviewers point out that it's possible to find more detailed instructions on-linem for children & on-the-go players, I think this book is the solution. Just grab the book with the game and PSP, and it's complete, enjoyable entertainment when out and about.

5 out of 5 stars Lego Batman   August 19, 2009

If you are a Batman Fan you will enjoy this crazy Lego adventure. I don't like first-person shoot-em up gore games. I wasn't sure I would enjoy Lego Batman, but it's LEGOS! Lego Batman challenges your mind to solve puzzle like scenarios, which I prefer. And yes there is shoot-em up type action for those of you that crave blowing up or shooting at things, but it's legos and not other people or zombies! You know what I mean. So far I have found no problems or issues while playing the game on my PS3. At $20, this is well worth buying.

2 out of 5 stars Online help is better   May 15, 2009

I don't give many reviews less than average but this one very much deserves it. For starters, it offers very little detail on what needs to be done. Many times I have had to go online and read free guides there to figure out what to do.
Free guide = helpful
$16.99 guide = not helpful?

I was also disappointed by the fact that since cheat codes are openly supported in this game without penalty from use, that they are not in the guide?!
Also, I may be getting older but some of the print is very difficult to read (mainly on the maps). I also did not like that there was no checklist for the cannisters like there was in the LEGO Indiana Jones guide (which was much better by comparison). This really helped me complete that game. I also tend to check off achievements I get in games so I can keep track. While the achievements are listed here, there are no checkboxes or even a white background where I can put a pen mark. It is little things like this that hurt.

This guide did help me in a few places but if I knew then what I know now, there is no way I would have purchased this considering the quality of the free online guides (as well as the videos)

3 out of 5 stars Not as helpful as expected   December 12, 2008

I've used these guides before for other games. I dunno but this one seems to have a more "complex busy" feeling about the layout. Like they're trying to get to artistic/crazy with the design and not focusing on the actual info
