Product Description The KX-TG9344T DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with All-Digital Answering System lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in, without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. The KX-TG9344T also boasts a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low, with a "please charge phone" reminder. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. So turn off the ringer and never miss a call. Good Phone October 7, 2008 I like the phones. Speaker phone is adequate. The ability to block calls is a half truth. You can save numbers to be blocked but the phone will still ring one time on your side before it changes to busy signal for caller. Cool that whatever name you put in the saved numbers, the talking caller idea will say. The only way I would improve this phone would be to add date and time to home screen when the phone is idle. Oh yeah, also can't check caller id when someone is on another one of the phones. Owned this phone for about one month now.

I just bought the Panasonic 9344T. I find it ridiculous that you can NOT select the amount of time for the backlight to stay on. It's only like 3 seconds. I called Panasonic and they said it's factory programmed and I can't adjust it. They said keep hitting a key to have it relight. Duh!!! Also, the date does not show on the screen; only the time. I asked about that and they said no it won't show, it's only for the answering system. No speed dial, no google 411 etc... When considering a phone, you can't read all about the phone without buying it and opening up the box to read the booklet.
I'm thinking of returning the unit after only 3 days......... Lena
Great Phone October 2, 2008 I read the reviews on this phone before I bought it and decided to go ahead with my purchase despite some of the so called "negative" features. I have the phone about a month and so far it's a good match for me. The voice quality is better on the 6.0 than previous phone systems that I owned, including messages (on my last system people thought I was talking on a cell phone because the voice would fade in and out, both mine and the caller's). Also, I can walk around the house away from the base phone and the voice quality doesn't change. True there is no red light flashing how many messages you have but, when you press the message button, it TELLS you. That's sufficient for me. All the phones charged up pretty quickly and you can leave a phone out of the charge cradle for a day or so and it won't die on you. I also like the small size (the phone fits right in my hand) and the cradle is a good fit for the phone. The only negative I have found so far is that if you use the speaker feature while talking to someone, you can't turn it off until you hang up. This isn't really a big deal. I got a great price from Amazon and I would definitely recommend this system.
phones September 30, 2008 No complaints so far. Clear sound. Comfortable handsets. Only complaint: We wish the base answering machine had numbers designating number of messages on the machine.
Works surprisingly well September 26, 2008 I found the setup very intuitive, and every stored phone number replicates automatically to all the phones. I don't know how it does it, but this phone can tell when we have a Verizon voice mail (I have turned off the answering machine). Also STANDARD size rechargeable AAA batteries! All you need is common NiMh AAA batteries, once again someone listened. I put my base unit on a UPS so I will have phone service for several hours after a power outage.
