Product Description
Performance and capacity redefined with Kingston's SD High-Capacity memory cards.

Kingston Technology's Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) memory cards are fully compliant with the new Secure Digital Association 2.00 specification. They are a new performance class of SD memory cards designed to meet the storage demands of high-quality digital still and video cameras and other high-resolution image recording devices.

Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, Kingston's SDHC cards use new speed "class" ratings known as Class 4 and 6 that deliver a minimum data transfer rate for optimum performance with SDHC devices.

Although identical in size to todays standard SD card, the new SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices (cameras, camcorders, etc.).

For added reliability and durability, our solid-state SDHC memory cards are built of nonvolatile memory components and have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All cards are 100-percent tested and are backed by a lifetime warranty and free live technical support.

5 out of 5 stars Best value in digital storage cards.   October 19, 2009

This two-pack has currently got to be the best value in digital storage cards on all of Amazon, especially if you have Prime. I have yet to experience a hint of a problem with a Kingston card (pretty much the same experience I've had with Sandisk), but I've had a couple of Transcend "lemons." The only reason that Transcend cards currently appear to be outselling Kingston cards in this price range is that this Kingston card is rated as a "Class 4" SDHC card whereas the Transcend card claims to be a "Class 6" card. But "Class 4" cards are recommended by all of the memory card makers as optimal for just about any use--storing documents, visual images, movies, audio, and even high-definition video (which is not considered appropriate for a "Class 2" card). The "Class 6" card is simply touted by the makers as the "ultimate," or "premium," grade card, intended for the most fastidious professional user. However, my experiences over the past two years have suggested that Kingston is simply a more reliable product than Transcend.

So it's a trade-off: do you want the fully-equipped Taurus (with the vibrating seats) or an "entry-level" BMW?
