blurry pictures November 20, 2009 Cynthia Cherry (Saginaw, MI USA) I was suckered into the camera by all the positive reviews..... but I'm not impressed. All of my pictures have an orange tint and are blurry. Unless I'm taking a picture of something not moving. I wanted something that you could just press the button & take a picture. With this one you apparently have to press the button "just so". Not happy with my purchase!
Takes pretty Cool Pics... November 18, 2009 nathan hearns (San Diego, CA) So, Ive used a bunch of digital cameras in my life, but i had never really owned one. So, in preparation for my trip to Australia I decided to buy this Coolpix camera from Nikon. Now that my trip is over and after 700 pics taken in just over 3wks Down Under, I have to say the Nikon Coolpix is a pretty decent camera. Its one of the easiest cameras Ive ever used. Right out of the box, you pop in a digital media card for photo storage and then turn it on and you are ready to start shooting with the Auto Focus setting already enabled. This auto focus setting changes on the fly (which is good for beginning photo shooters) depending on the kind of shot your taking or time of day (sunlight or evening) your shooting photos. There are other focus modes available as well for more advanced photographers. There is also a video mode that allows you to shoot .avi videos. Has a great power saving function as well that turns off the camera after about 15 seconds of non-use as well. The one thing I dont really like about the camera is the slow turn on time. When you want to get a shot and need to take a quick photo, the Coolpix has a very slow turn on. It takes about 3 to 5 seconds before its ready for an actual picture. Otherwise, for the price I paid, Im very happy with the product...!
great, easy camera November 17, 2009 steelersfan (dover, de) Great, easy to use camera, for day-to-day use, love the bigger screen, easy on batteries, great price.
not what i was looking for... November 17, 2009 M. Brown (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i bought this camera when my fuji started taking bad pics...i thought it was too slow in between pics so i wanted something new...this camera isn't even as good as my old one...need a point and shoot that isn't so slow but takes clear pics...i sent this one back and will pay more for a better one...
Great for every day use November 10, 2009 Josh C. Rukse (Chicago. IL) Great for taking on vacations. It's small size and low battery use make it very portable. The video quality is also impressive for a smaller camera. I had it on my car dash driving down a road at 75MPH and it captured the passing detail very well.
