It is everything I needed! March 17, 2010 D. Blandford (IN, USA) The Logitech DiNovo for 'Notebook' is another excellent Logitech product that is a functional wireless keyboard for all PCs and Desktops with excellent functionality, looks, and none of those useless macro keys that any regular user or familiar gamer would want. With a length of just 17", heavy (unusual at first) but well constructed, and this black finish makes this my most valued and impressive Logitech product so far.
Over the past few years I have dealt with the G15 Gamer's Keyboard from Logitech, I was not happy with its massive size and the many cords involved. Not to say that those USB1 ports on the keyboard weren't useful but that I needed a smaller and more mobile keyboard for my desk which can occupy several other things when I'm not using the computer or the keyboard for that matter. The Dinovo is very functional, impressive respond times, multi-stroke functionality is still excellent; where pressing many keys such as a directional key and another, and can keep up with the best of wired logitech keyboards.
My biggest gripe with the Dinovo is the USB receiver, its small, and at the back of my computer. It may be my fault but I would of liked an option for a USB or wired receiver that laid on my desk so I wouldn't have the minute interferences where the keyboard drops out but this can be solved by buying one of these extenders instead for a little under $5. Another small gripe is the placement of the eject key right above the backspace. Until I disabled it this was the biggest gripe as I wondered why my CD tray would eject!
Overall this is a 5 star product, there are some few minor gripes but in everything near perfect there are small problems that aren't even a nuisance. Good job, Logitech!
Great for notebook users February 17, 2010 Mondi 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This keyboard is excellent for those who have grown accustomed to the shallow key depth and narrow key spacing of laptops. The keys feel very similar to my old Dell E1505, which I had typed many a papers on. I have since upgraded to a thinkpad T400, and despite the legendary keyboard quality, I manage to still type faster and more accurately on this keyboard while working at home.
Only complaint would be the gloss black trim around the keyboard which attract finger prints quite easily. The wrist rest is COLD upon initial use, but does warm up and is kinda refreshing on a hot day.
Good Product - Looks Great February 12, 2010 Bubbles-Desmo (Bay Area, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this keyboard for about 6 months now. It was on a good deal with a rebate where it came out to about $20 after rebate. I'd say this keyboard for that price is excellent. For about 70 or so it's questionable unless you use the keyboard extensively. It uses 6 AAA batteries. Of which they have NOT run out in the past 6 months. I actually leave the keyboard on between days at work and i use it a good 8-9 hours every working day. I love typing on it as it reminds me of my macbook pro (circa 2007) in feel and feedback. You also can't beat the style on this thing. it's nice, sleek and gets a lot of compliments.
Description should say "Perfect for Desktops" February 11, 2010 J. Everett (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What can I say, its about time, perfect keyboard. Keys are light and easy to use, layout is perfect, programmable function keys are great. Just wish I wouldn't have waited so long to purchase! If your looking for a wireless keyboard, desktop or laptop, this is your keyboard...you will not be disappointed!!
Fabulous all around January 13, 2010 T. Patru 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great keyboard. Using it with Ubuntu, no delay whatsoever, and excellent tactile response in the keys, just like a laptop. I have several other keyboards and have had lots of problems with incomplete presses. I would be typing without looking at the screen, and then discover that I didn't push a letter all the way down. Was very annoying, but never had that problem with this keyboard. I've been using the keyboard every day for 4 months now, never had to change the batteries yet.
The size is great for my desktop, and the number keys are great.
The only con I can think of is that the aluminum wrist rest can be a little cold if you're wearing a short-sleeve shirt. Big deal.
Excellent buy. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.
