Not wortth it! November 16, 2009 Christine Loftus (Chicago) I bought this piece of equipment so I could convert tons of my mother in laws slides but after less than 5 hours of use it broke! To make matters worse the warranty is only for 90 days and I was past that. When I called the company they offered little help and then when push came to shove the only thing I was told was to buy a new one! That was it...Buy a new one! NO WAY.
A big disappointment November 2, 2009 doctormyeyes I didn't expect something super-professional quality, and since the other reviews were positive about this product's ability to scan slides, I was optimistic about using to scan my negatives.
It doesn't work.
Negatives developed for photographs taken from a high quality 35mm SLR camera were distorted with incorrect color and low resolution. Not even passable.
Objects in the negative came out OK but landscapes were a disaster.
Returning this.
Still doesn't work October 8, 2009 Weemus (Sparks, Georgia United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The PhotoImpression software does not capture slides from the hardware provided. I had to return it after a few days of trying to configure the product. Useless on Windows XP. Purchase at your own risk.
Good value September 25, 2009 G. S. Anthony (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The device is packaged with an older version of the scanning software that does not allow for adjustments in the exposure. You need to download a new version to get decent results. Also, it would be helpful for the exposure adjustment in the new driver to be on the main window that shows a "live" view of the slide or negative rather that on a separate dialog that has to be opened and then closed before proceeding.

After an hour and a half of trying and retrying to install the software and hardware, I was nowhere. Returning the day after I received it.
