Wonderful Camera!!! November 20, 2009 M. evans I recieved this camera for christmas last year (2008). The photo quality is exellent and there are many settings to get all the pictures looking perfect. I am still learning about the settings. there are so many!!! The battery lasts for a very long time, I will go for weeks without charging it. All my friends love my camera so much that many of them went out and got a camera too! I would however get an extra memory card. the one that is sent with this product only holds about 8 picts. Hope you enjoy it as much as i have!!!
Very Pleased November 5, 2009 C. Taylor (Illinois) This camera is exactly what I was looking for. It takes good pictures, I can slip it in my pocket and the rechargeable battery lasts a long time. It's perfect for a family on the go.
Excellent Point And Shoot Camera October 14, 2009 R. Richardson (illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
first off, the battery life on this camera is incredible. this thing holds a charge for the longest time. i don't use it on an everyday basis, @ every 3 days or so, and the battery didnt get charged for @ 250 pictures and didnt really need it then. the charger is a really compact, folding plug in charger that is simple to use and store - keep it in the case with the camera or you might lose this little compact charger. the camera itself is sturdy and great looking. the screen is large for the cameras compact size. the picture quality is absolutely amazing! this is the best compact that i've ever used, bar none. you can't go wrong with this purchase.
Good Camera October 14, 2009 Ajay (Chicago,IL USA) Got it as a gift to my dad last December.I should say i do not have any problems till now.Feature wise the IS (Image staabilization) and Face detection are worth while mentioning. This Camera starts very quickly from off to on mode however its a little late between the shots, but for an average user it shouldn't matter much as it is around 3 seconds.Battery life is good. The camera is so compact and very handy to carry in your pocket.
Loved it until it BROKE - Lens error - no more Canons for me October 13, 2009 Katie - Amazon is my fave store (MA, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Loved this camera- it was my favorite wedding present I received 15 months ago - I took care of it as if it were gold - then I went to take a picture at a family function and it made a weird motorized sound and said lens error - unfortunately since it was a gift and this person did not buy me an extended plan it was out of warrantee - I brought it to Ritz camera and was told it would cost $134 to repair it and take 4-6 weeks (we are approaching a big holiday season and picture taking season for me but I was still considering on agreeing to the repair)- but the camera repair man told me you can get a great camera for that price and recommended not fixing it - that was shocking to me- then my husband looked up possible fixes on the internet which included 'bang' the camera lens so it retracts and/or blow compressed air around the lens to see if anything is stuck - which more than likely was fuzz from the protective camera bag (not so protective) - we also saw online that there is a class action suit against Canon because this is a common problem that Canon knows about but has not built a better product - so all together- loved the camera - but it did not last long at all - if you get it - get a great extended warrantee - but if you want something that will last - I'd recommend getting a Nikon - I have one that is outdated quality wize (6 MP) but it has lasted for 5 years, so I am using it while I look to purchase a new Nikon.
