Product Description Now you can store, carry and transfer large files in an affordable, convenient device. The DataTraveler from Kingston helps budget-conscious users break storage barriers, allowing them to easily store and move large files in a device no bigger than a pocketknife, replacing the need for floppies or the hassle of burning CDs.As easy as click and drag, the DataTraveler can hold just about any file you can think of: term papers, theses, digital images, spreadsheets or other important documents. It works with virtually any computer with a USB port - even cross-platform from Macintosh to PC and vice versa.

perfect November 18, 2009 McKay (Boston United States) I live in South Korea as an English teacher and this thing has been perfect. I dont have a classroom and move around to sevral different schools each week, this thing holds everything and works with my personal computer - a mac and thehorrible PC work computer.
Works on Macs but is slow November 17, 2009 A.N. Other (San Francisco, CA USA) This is the third DataTraveler I have owned in recent years, and like the 2 and 4 G versions, it works adequately well on the Mac. Moreover, unlike some other flash drives, there is no annoying Windows-only software that pops up automatically on the desktop. However, transfer speeds seem much lower compared with the 4 G model, and time to mount or unmount the disk seems high. Another shortcoming is that it requires more power than can be delivered from the keyboard USB port, which can be inconvenient. Unless you really need the larger capacity, I would go for a smaller faster model in this line. Alternatively, there may be faster flash drives in another Kingston model or from another company.
Needs reasonably priced security addition to be first rate unit November 16, 2009 K. Arnold (Near Helena, MT) Great product with no problems after using two of them for a month. Wish Kingston would add p/w protection for a reasonable price.
so far its great October 29, 2009 J. Speg I bought this to back up my music and pictures, and guess what? Two months later my hard drive failed so I was SOOOO glad I had this little baby
Nice drive for the price. October 16, 2009 S. Jackson (Ann Arbor, MI) My purpose in buying this drive was for occasionally transferring files between two computers. It doesn't get a ton of use, maybe a couple times a month at best. For the time I've owned it, which I think is a little over a year, I haven't had any issues though. Because I don't live my life off this drive on a daily basis, I can't really endorse the long term reliability of this drive. However, for occasional use for the purpose of transferring documents its done its job without fault.
I don't think it's the sturdiest drive out there, so if your looking for something to put on a keychain or carry around a lot, I would pay a more a get something something a little better. I'm not saying its poorly made, just not made to stand up to a lot of abuse. However, for a drive that is going to live its life stuck in a drawer or occasionally stuck in a backpack, it should hold up just fine. A heavy user and abuser should get something else.
For a fairly priced occasional use drive, with reasonable storage size, where sturdiness isn't a factor, this drive fits the bill. If I was looking for unshakable reliability, I might turn else where and invest a little more in a drive.
