 definitely not for 17 inches November 22, 2009

i learn my very lesson when buying this backpack. Always read the reviews first. Definitely this product is not for 17 inches laptop. it may fit 14 inches. I try to put my asus g71x laptop, but it not fit at all.

Good material, Lots and lots of pockets, Fits my 13" laptop well, This backpack will last a long time. Red color is nice.
And for a price of $39.99 I would say this is the best deal.

This backpack is stylish and beautiful. It fits perfectly my needs. It will not fit 17" laptop as advertised. I have 13.3" and it fits perfectly. So I don't have any issue. The build quality is excellent and has lots & lots of pockets for everything.
 Barely hold a 15.6" laptop November 13, 2009

My 15.6" HP Pavilion dv6-1360US (14.9"X10.15"X1.33") barely fit inside the protective slot for laptop in this bag!
When I put my laptop in the protective slot, the laptop get very close to the zipper, and the laptop pushes against the top of the bag (I can see laptop corners through the bag). I have to be VERY careful to zip it to make sure that the zipper does not scratch my laptop. I am a little worried about carrying weight in the bag because it will press against the laptop.
The bag does have a bigger space by the protective slot. It is big enough for my laptop, but does not have any cushion on the sides (there is a little cushion at the bottom). I may put my laptop here by adding some cushion if I feel too uncomfortable about putting my laptop in the protective slot.
Other than this, the bag appears to be rugged and well made. We initially had trouble unzipping the bag because some zipper teeth were not aligned. But after we pushed them in, it works fine.
As other reviewers noticed, the mp3 slot is inside the bag. Don't know how useful that it.
