3 out of 5 stars Good Product with a Couple of Flaws   November 11, 2009
O. Harris (Landrum, SC)
I assume that this product does what it states it should do and has a couple of very useful features. 1. I can enter numbers directly into the computer or I can put it into calc mode, do the math, and then send the results to the computer. It also has a memory function like a regular calculator 2. I can use the Num Lock to navigate around the computer screen.
I would love the product, but it has two huge flaws. 1. As almost every reviewer has stated, it falls asleep. I also ask the question: WHY? It happens so often that it makes the product almost useless. I can always get it to turn back on, but I haven't learned yet which key to push. If it is going to go into sleep mode, I should be able to awake it by touching any key. 2. It is too small. Think of this as a calculator, not a keypad. I cannot comfortablely use it the way I can a keypad because the keys are too close together.
I do need a keypad. I wish I had ordered something else, but I doubt it is worth paying the shipping cost of having it returned.

4 out of 5 stars Great keypad   September 14, 2009

Great product that works fine. Only issue is that you have to remember to "wake up" keypad after a period of inactivity. Other than that it's a great attachment for anyone needing a keypad.

4 out of 5 stars LCD Panel Only In Calculator Mode   June 17, 2009
B. Roper (Oklahoma)
It works well for most people.
I actually ordered several of these for the LCD panel to use as a sort of PIN pad. However, I ended up returning all that I ordered, because the LCD panel only works in calculator mode. Most people probably don't need more than that; but if you do, don't buy this one. I couldn't find this information on the item description here or at the manufacturer's web site; however, a call to the manufacturer confirmed this.

4 out of 5 stars Really useful for accountants   March 19, 2009
Pinky (Vancouver, Canada)
This is an awesome product for people who use numbers a lot, but don't want a 17" laptop. Works with my Vista Business although it doesn't say it on the box.

The usb ports are so handy. Wish the screen was bigger and I wish (although probably not realistic) that it had ".00" option.

Love it.

3 out of 5 stars Works... but a little disappointing.   February 20, 2009
Thomas Butler Jr. (Ocala, FL)
The product works OK; however, it does have a few minor annoying flaws. I have to turn the unit on to get it to work with my iMac. The keys are smallish and it doesn't feel robust. I would recommend this to a heavy number-cruncher who wants to use it with a laptop on the go. My purpose for buying was because the tiny Mac keyboard had no numeric keypad... plus it doesn't have enough USB ports.
