Product Description Canon has poured all the Know How of its extraordinary history of developing innovative office machines into each of its copiers, printers, and networked office systems. The same superiority of design and manufacture goes into all of the Canon-branded consumable imaging supplies and parts for this equipment. Naturally, no one makes better parts and supplies for Canon products than Canon. Using genuine Canon parts and supplies is your best insurance against equipment damage, and possibly voiding your equipment warranty.
Amazon.com Product Description The Canon PGI-5 uses pigment ink formulation for long-lasting prints that resist smudges and smearing caused by highlighters. It also produces crisp, laser-quality text and graphics. For added convenience, the PGI-5 boasts ink remaining notification technology, so you'll always know when it's time to change cartridges.

Good Price great ink! November 9, 2009 T. E. Morton (Erie, PA) I've tried after-market substitutes in my Canon MP600 before but they would leave lines in my paper on the black areas -
Even after a number of cleanings of the printer head. I replaced the Truestar brand with Canon PIGMENT ink, and it worked fine.
Truestar inks worked fine with the other colors, but NOT, I repeat, NOT with the pigmented PGI-5 tank.
Prob won't try that again! BTW, I love my Canon printer!
Good things don't last and this is no exception. November 5, 2009 Barrie W. Bracken (Daytona Beach, FL) I have owned three types of printers and bought two of the Canon MP that I have now. The printer is great. The ink runs out fast and is too expensive. What can I do? Give up my printer? Never! I caan print about 250 sheets before my number 5 inker runs out. I print a great deal and use lot of ink. If you are interested in a good printer, buy one like mine. If you can't stand the short term inkers, look elsewhere. I have only one complaint about this ink--it runs out very fast and is not that cheap.
Best price I could find for genuine Canon ink November 1, 2009 One Cent (NC) Although the price seems high it is still the best I could find from a reputable source
that was for genuine Canon ink in New condition.
Good for Money September 4, 2009 rjgsphinx (Marietta, GA) After research I found that this was a good ink value for the money and that has proved out.
Canon ink June 29, 2009 RR (OH) Not much to say about printer ink. This is what is needed for my Canon printer and works great. I've always bought my ink from Amazon.
