TI 89 Calculator September 23, 2009 G. Caffrey I bought this for my daughter who needed it for a college math class. The calculator arrived very quickly. My daughter is very pleased with the calculator. We were both very pleased with the service this company provided. I highly recommend them.
Discontinued model September 2, 2009 James W. Jennings (Northern Virginia) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The TI-89 was discontinued several years ago. It has been replaced by the TI-89 Titanium, which is an improved model with more memory, etc. Even so, when new, one would have to be insane to pay this price.
Awful August 30, 2009 C. Chung (Laramie, WY USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The condition of the item was really really bad. The cap for battery and the cover were missing, and the seller didn't mention anything about it. I would not recommend this seller to any one.
Simple, powerfull January 5, 2009 J. CAMPBELL (Honduras) The only thing that I've never liked is that the letters in the screen are way too little, it takes time to get used to it(specially if you are a ti86 or hp's calcs former user), when compared to the newer hp models (50g and so on..) its a toy because of the lack of speed and memory(even the titanium model, try to solve a 21 degree polinomial ecuation in it... and yes some people has to deal with those monsters in real life situations) but its easier to get aroud with it.
Pros:
Easy to use.
Updatable.
Lots of free apps.
cons:
It doesnt work well with hyperbolic functions(EE needs those).
too slow.
still the best December 12, 2007 Robert G. Barker (Kennewick, Wa United States) From 2+2 to diff q, this is the still the best calculator you can buy. It would be nice if the units were more simply accessed.
