Does the job but isn't amazing June 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You get what you pay for here. I am a cheap college student, and I pay for a cheap calculator. It works wonderfully, but the only thing that is inconvenient for me is the memory this little thing has. If I want to look back to the last equation I put in, it doesn't remember it, unlike new calculators. But, hey, I am totally satisfied because I only needed it for one semester. It does a lot more than my little casio calculator too. To my knowledge it has the functions as a newer one that typical people might use(of course there are sweet programs from the new ones, but most don't use those functions anyway). It works well, especially for the price I paid. :)

Actually, at first I was a hesitate to buy the ti-81. Finally, I had made the decision to buy it. I find that it's worth every penny. I love it. Trust me, this calculator can do almost everything like the ti-83, except that it doesn't have as much memory as the ti-83 and the ability to transfer info. However, I find that the ti-81 is every easy to use. Not bad at all!!
Pretty Good Calculator October 3, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I needed a good graphing calculator quick, and this one really does the job. It's just as good as the later models, don't waste your money on the more expensive ones. The batteries do go pretty quick though. I have to constantly adjust the contrast due to low battery power.

If you need a graphing calculator for a calculas class this may do the trick but I recommend the TI-82r a higher model. This calculator did not have the features needed for my college class but it may be ok for a high school class. See what features you need and then buy it. The only good thing about it was you cant beat the price.
I Really Good Bargain! January 16, 2002 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This graphing calculator is an outstanding bargain for the features that it possesses. The ability to perform so many mathematical tasks is always an added plus. I would highly recommend the purchase of this highly reasonally piece of electronic equipment1
