Amazon.com Review If you're looking for a low-cost calculator but want a unit that's sturdier than most, then the Texas Instruments TI1795SV may be your ideal choice. It offers basic math operations without the frills that you may never need. Plus, it has a combination solar/battery power supply for long battery life and easy reading in any lighting condition. The TI1795SV is a slightly larger and sturdier version of the Texas Instruments TI1706 solar calculator. Like the TI1706, the TI1795 offers functions for square root, percentages, plus and minus values, and memory. However, the TI1795 is designed as a mini desktop calculator, so its eight-character LCD is larger and easier to read, and the unit overall has a weightier and more substantial feel. Although it's too large to fit in a shirt pocket, the TI1795SV fits comfortably in a coat pocket or a purse. Use it at home, work with it at the office, or take it to the grocery store or anywhere you need quick and easy calculations. --John Frederick Moore
Amazon.com Product Description The classic mini-desktop calculator for home, office, or retail with big keys and a giant SuperView display.

Texas Instruments TI1795SV Solar Calculator June 27, 2009 Ann Aurelio (Long Island, NY) Nice calculator with large numbers, very easy to read. A little bigger then I expected. It is solar which makes it a real plus.
Great Calculator March 18, 2009 book lover (CA) I've been using these at work for years, and everybody keeps stealing them from me because they are great. They're great desk calculators with big numbers for quick, easy, and accurate entry and a -/+ key for entering negative numbers. Can't believe I'm writing a review for a calculator, but I really LOVE these.
The Best calculator I ever owned ! March 10, 2009 samuel meola (Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great calculator for any basic function. first saw it at my local bank. I liked it so much I had to have one of my own. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles but it does have a neat little tax rate function where you can enter any % and it will hold it into memory. I may purchase a second one in fear that it will go away at some point.
It is dual powered and I never had a problem with the display in any type of lighting condition.
It is well built and the keys are really responsive, resulting in near flawless entry everytime.
for a simple everyay desktop calculator, this one is a winner !

Has it all for basic daily work, with easy to read numerals with commas. Nice touch on the key pads.
