Nice, but not too functional October 4, 2009 MBDPD Pretty cover, but the lines on the paper are pretty faint--unless you're in a brightly lit area, they're very hard to see. If you like lined paper, as I do, this probably isn't for you.

This item arrived in a timely manner in the very condition it was described as. I am very pleased with this transaction and would recommend this seller to anyone.
Light and Lovely April 3, 2009 Katharine Yoder (Cornfields and Stars) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Peter Pauper Press journals are, as a collection, just beautiful, but this particular journal is definitely my favorite. The paper feels smooth and substantial, and the faint lining on the pages ensures straight sentences but doesn't dominate a filled page. The binding is sturdy, which is an important factor for me as I've purchased this journal to chronicle a summer of travel. The cover does fold flat, as advertised, although the pages seem rather stiff. There is also a small pocket in the back, large enough to hold a handful of 5x7 photos. But the best part of this journal is the cover -- the delicate Queen Anne's lace and butterflies seem to guarantee lovely and ethereal journal entries. All in all, a beautiful book, certainly worth the price.
Wonderful journal March 13, 2009 E. Hunt 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The size makes it perfect to tote around anywhere. The quality of the binding and the pages is superb. Unlike another reviewer said, it IS lined but the lines are faint. Once written in it looks good on the page because the lines are so light. I plan on purchasing more like this in the future because they're good little journals for a variety of uses.
Cute little journal February 4, 2009 T. Duong (Murrieta, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The cover attracted me to buy it because I thought it was adorable.
The paper is really thick, but also, like coldpress. My pen is a fountain pen, and it seems to absorb it well, so I don't have any problems but possible smearing problem for non-fast drying pens (something like pilot pens). But ballpoint seems to work well.
I feel like I can write in it all the time, but seems like it won't last me a year.
