| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Unique in combining a mathematically sound introduction to computing with an introduction to the Pascal language, this text is well suited to the needs and length of an introductory programming course. The book also introduces topics of general interest in computing including algorithms and their efficiency, searching and sorting, termination and verification of programs, and abstract data types.

| Customer Reviews: Okay but not very user friendly for a novice November 5, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book about 2 years ago when I was trying to learn programming by learning Pascal. It was not very user friendly and I did not find it too helpful. It was hard to understand. I can now program quite well in Pascal thanks to the assistance of other books. When I look at the book today, I can now understand it. However, as a novice programmer, it was very confusing.
