| Customer Reviews:
A good place to start for students who struggle with math April 23, 2008 I reviewed all six of the new Mastering Essential Math Skills titles at the 2008 NCTM Math Conference. As a math consultant, I have always been a fan of Fisher's books. This books sets the stage for future success in math. It is difficult to go very far without mastery of whole numbers and integers. For students who seem to struggle with math or who seem intimidated by math in general, this book is a must. Short, self-contained lessons, with plenty of instruction, ensures success. If students follow the daily lessons diligently, they WILL get better at math. Lots of real-life applications. Highly recommended. A great refresher!
