For Someone who is tallented in math. December 8, 2009 M. Youn (PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my math tallented 8years old son. He really enjoys this book and hopes there is another book like this. I recommend this book for someone who really enjoys the math but does not have academic attention from school.
great range of items November 21, 2009 staples (Portland, Oregon) My son loves this book, it makes various math concepts like pi fun and engaging. ALthough they are not traditional "word" math problems, it integrates the verbal set up nicely.
student challenge July 9, 2009 Diane G. Beard (Albuquerque NM) I have use the contents of this book to send home challenges with students in the monthly newsletter. Some of the students come back asking for different challenges. This is a great book with different congitive challenges.
Workbook for kids in middle school January 21, 2009 S. Manson (GA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I bought this book for an 8 year who really enjoys math. But the workbook was too advanced for someone in the 3rd and perhaps 4th grade. A lot of the math concepts (negative integers, scientific notation, square roots)are beyond the math level of the age range listed in the product description.
