Be Aware! June 6, 2008 Bought because that 3 so-positive comments, but it's not that good. It only offer so-called "shortcuts" for certain types of questions and gives out 10 or more examples on a certain method, which is mostly the same questions, waste of time!
Without a detail review of all topics is ok, but the model tests are not! Firstly, the answers are not detail enough. For some trick ones, they only give out a line. Or some solution that hard to understand. Secondly, the answer is full of errors. Some is as stupid as they get the same answer as the choice B but tells you the correct answer is E.
And, half of the book is filled with figures teaching you how to use TIs, which makes me feel like buying another operation booklet! I'd rather get a Barron's or Princeton Review's than this one.
A must for the level 2 math test June 20, 2006 The approach suggested in this book will give you shortcut methods to solve almost half of the questions in CB's math level 2 subhect test. Plus the author has included 10 sample tests as a bonus.
A must for 2C. May 22, 2006 This book helped me especially with the 2C test. 1 less star again for the paper and binding.
Best resource for TI 83 and TI 84 October 13, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am teaching precalculus in a private high school and I have been using "SAT Math with TI" of the same author in my classes and I am pretty pleased with it. This book is similar to the "SAT Math with TI" with three important additions. The first addition is a chapter on TI 89. In this chapter the author explains the F2 (algebra) menu of TI 89 which I believe is very useful for a college bound student. The second addition is 10 original 1C - 2C tests. Traditionally the tests are harder than usual. The third addition is the fact that there are more solved examples. I definitely recommend this book for all in search of a book devoted to the usage of TI in high school math context.
