Product Description
The First Full Length Stephanie Plum Between-the-Numbers Novel from #1 Bestselling Author Janet Evanovich. Turn on all the lights and check under your bed. Things are about to get spooky in Trenton, New Jersey. According to legend, the Jersey Devil prowls the Pine Barrens and soars above the treetops in the dark of night. As eerie as this might seem, there are things in the Barrens that are even more frightening and dangerous. And there are monkeys. Lots of monkeys. Wulf Grimoire is a world wanderer and an opportunist who can kill without remorse and disappear like smoke. He’s chosen Martin Munch, boy genius, as his new business partner, and he’s chosen the Barrens as his new playground. Munch received his doctorate degree in quantum physics when he was twenty-two. He’s now twenty-four, and while his brain is large, his body hasn’t made it out of the boys’ department at Macy’s. Anyone who says good things come in small packages hasn’t met Munch. Wulf Grimoire is looking for world domination. Martin Munch would be happy if he could just get a woman naked and tied to a tree. Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has Munch on her most-wanted list for failure to appear in court. Plum is the all-American girl stuck in an uncomfortable job, succeeding on luck and tenacity. Usually she gets her man. This time she gets a monkey. She also gets a big guy named Diesel. Diesel pops in and out of Plum’s life like birthday cake – delicious to look at and taste, not especially healthy as a steady diet, gone by the end of the week if not sooner. He’s an über bounty hunter with special skills when it comes to tracking men and pleasing women. He’s after Grimoire, and now he’s also after Munch. And if truth were told, he wouldn’t mind setting Stephanie Plum in his crosshairs. Diesel and Plum hunt down Munch and Grimoire, following them into the Barrens, surviving cranberry bogs, the Jersey Devil, a hair-raising experience, sand in their underwear, and, of course . . . monkeys.

Plum Spooky Book November 15, 2009 Linda Cassel (Abingdon, Md) Great gift idea, Daughter loved this book as she is a Janet Evanovich fan and has most of her books. 5 stars
PLUM SPOOKY November 11, 2009 Leigh Carter (Georgia) I really enjoyed reading this book! The characters are always interesting and wonderful in her books! I can't stop smiling while reading or being anxious to keep reading alot more! I don't like having to stop and wait until later to pick the book back up again. Janet Evanovich definitely knows how to keep you entertained and you definitely don't want to stop reading! PLUM SPOOKY was another very good book to read and stay attached to! I loved it!
Very Upset November 5, 2009 Patricia G. Young (Theodore, Al) I still have not received my book. I paid and have nothing to show for it. I have ordered many books online and do not have the money to waste on something I have never received.
Sppoked again November 4, 2009 Marie Fagan (Warrington England) I always look forward to reading the 'in-between' novels of Janet Evanovich, and don't mind suspending my beliefs. If only we all had a Diesel! This novel takes us out of the urban and into the woods, with the usual twists and turns, as well as 'will she, won't she'. While you can get the unusual characters like the Easter Bunny, somehow you find that they become believable. Then there's Elmer the F--ter, who Grandma just loves. The humour may be grim at times, but it's still there.
Reviewed for Midwest Book Review November 3, 2009 Christy Tillery French (Powell, TN) Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum's latest bond jumper is Munch, a quantum physics genius who looks like a kid. Munch has been seen hanging out with a tall man who strongly resembles a vampire and disappears in a cloud of smoke. Mysterious super-bounty hunter Diesel shows up at Stephanie's apartment, telling her he's tracking his cousin Wulf Grimoire, the very man who has befriended Munch. Wulf doesn't mind twisting people's necks and leaving his hand print branded on their skin, and his pairing with Munch cannot be good. Both are unstable and Diesel suspects Wulf has found the perfect person to help him gain power to control the world. Stephanie and Diesel team up to capture the two miscreants, who have taken up residence in the Pine Barrens, home to the Jersey Devil and all sorts of weird persons and creatures.
Stepping outside the Plum numerical series, Janet Evanovich offers her readers a fun romp with Stephanie and Diesel as they pursue Munch and Wulf. Add to this mix a monkey Stephanie is babysitting who seems more human than monkey and plays an integral part in the investigation. This is the perfect book to be read at Halloween, with some very strange goings on in the Pine Barrens, along with Diesel and Wulf, whose powers are a bit out of this world.
