Product Description "How would you like to give your baby a gift that could raise his IQ by 10 points; cut medical bills; make your baby's eyes, heart, intestines, and nearly every other organ work better; reduce the risk of life-shortening, debilitating diseases, such as diabetes; and help your baby avoid many of the common complaints of infancy, such as ear infections, tummy upsets, even diaper rash? Whats the magic gift that can do all these things? Your milk!.... Breastfeeding will make it easier to care for your baby, and it will make it easier for you to know and understand your baby. It will affect the way you listen to your child, the way you communicate, the way you respond for many years to come....In the early days of learning to breastfeed, there may be times when you feel like tossing in the nursing bra and reaching for a bottle. You may be tempted to believe those advisers who suggest that formula feeding is easier, or just as good. Or, you may worry that you're "not the type" of mother who succeeds at breastfeeding. breastfeeding February 16, 2010 Florica Ferche (Atlanta, GA) This is a great book. Dr. Sears and his wife are great authors. They explain everything in an easy readable fashion. I appreciate the fact that they present all aspects of the certain topic of the book. I would recommend all his books. I love the birth book and the Baby book. I felt very prepared for my baby's birth without any classes. I had a great birth.
best breastfeeding book there is!! August 9, 2009 Dana Williams i bought this book with my fist baby and loved it. i breastfed for 14mo and referenced it often throughout. i buy it for all my friend and family who are having babies! you will love it
One of the best June 4, 2009 April Gilbertson (Sherwood, OR United States) Informative, supportive, and an easy read. This is one of the better breastfeeding books on the market. It covers a wide range of breastfeeding related topics and, because of the size and content layout, is one of my favorites for a quick reference. I liked mine so much I bought one as a gift for an expectant relative.
Excellent book! April 6, 2009 Rebecca E. Bromley-trujillo 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is very detailed and provides all the pertinent information you need for breastfeeding. The photos are extremely helpful and demonstrate clearly how you should position the baby. I have looked at many breastfeeding books and found this one to be the most helpful.
I LOVE this book! November 24, 2008 Rosie 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am pregnant, expecting my first child, and I really want to breastfeed. This book helped me to realize that almost anyone who wants to, can! It tells you what to do with any kind of breastfeeding difficulty and reassures you that there are a lot of resources nearby when you need help. I am now confident that I'll be able to do it, and I've been recommending it to all of my pregnant friends who want to breastfeed.
