Worth Buying November 2, 2009 John Reader (Gainesville, Florida United States) This book will teach you how to do it but more important why you are doing it and why you should not do it. Skip all the long reviews and just buy it.

It is a statistics book August 30, 2009 C. Stewart (Tulsa, OK USA) The first week of classes are over. I find the text to be helpful so far, but this is just the beginning of the semester. Kind of funny, quite wordy, but I like it so far. After all, it is a statistics book!
Highly Recommended August 21, 2009 classicalmusiclover (manchester, ct) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Field's revision of his text, which may already be considered a classic, is outstanding and certainly the best of the SPSS-oriented texts. He certainly has mastered the art of clearly presenting complex topics. The book is an interesting read, although I personally find his frequent attempts at humor to sometimes be rather infantile and/or odd. The presentation of MANOVA and its relation to discriminant analysis is excellent, but I wish that there had been a discussion of MANCOVA. In spite of these caveats, highly recommended for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students.
I never thought statistics could be fun. August 10, 2009 Lars Enochsson (Stockholm, Sweden) I am a surgeon and do clinical research. This book is great. I never thought that I would look forward to read a book about statistics when I go to bed - but I actually do.
I recommend it.
