| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description "This really is a remarkable book. It does for human resources what Rachel Carson's Silent Spring did for the environment. It makes you wonder why we insist on sustaining an education system that is narrow, partial, entirely inappropriate for the 21st century and deeply destructive of human potential when human beings have so much latent creative ability to offer. A brilliant analysis." Wally Olins, Founder, Wolff-Olins "Competitive advantage does not come from the Internet. It comes from leveraging creativity . All corporate leaders should read this book." Professor Richard Scase, author, Britain in 2010 "I thoroughly recommend this excellent book. Developing our latent creative ability is vital for personal and professional success. Ken Robinson gives us the signposts we need to achieve this." Sir John Harvey Jones "If you would like to start to unlock the inherent creativity that exists in every human being (including you), then start (you have to) by reading this book!" Simon Woodroffe, Founder, Yo Sushi, and former Entrepreneur of the Year "Ken Robinson's is an original and creative mind. I can think of no better spokesperson on creativity. His views are as much directed to learning institutions as they are to industry. Out of Our Minds is a genuine challenge to complacency." Ruth Spellman, Chief Executive of Investors in People, UK "Sometimes a writer has an uncanny knack of sharply focusing something which up until then you had not seen in all its simplicity and brilliance. This book does that but at the next moment it makes connections never before imagined
Even the most obstinately prosaic and safe thinkers will be tempted out of their box by Ken Robinson's ideas, theories and speculations. What's more, he writes as he speaks, in a way that, magnetically and compulsively, is simply irresistible" Professor Tim Brighouse, Director of Education, Birmingham

Good seller November 2, 2009 C. Kobza (Kansas City, MO) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book was shipped promptly and in great condition. The seller also sent me an e-mail confirming whether I had received the book.
Out of My Mind, for Sure July 5, 2009 Elizabeth Anne (Germany) This book was a must-have, as a creative person with a passion for teaching. It should be popping open minds - or should have been, since it was actually written a while back - all over the world, along all disciplines. If nothing else, it has made me completely relax regarding my child's report card and whether or not she does well in a conventional educational sense. I trust that Ken is right because I simply feel that he is speaking a very obvious truth.
Blown Away March 1, 2009 Chris B. Bratton (Round Rock, Texas USA) This book is one of the most important works available for anyone who is concerned with the state of the educational system in America and the world. Ken Robinson articulates the issues and problems in education very well and then articulates what it will take for us to remake the system. I was impressed with the depth of feeling, understanding, and vision presented in the book and wish this book had been available twenty years ago. This is a must read for every educator and administrator in the education system.
Shifting Minds November 26, 2008 Tessy Britton (UK) Sir Ken's insights are slowly leaking into schools. We are finally understanding the extent of the damage brought about by competitive, risk adverse school environments. At the centre of his approach is a belief in really valuing human capacity in its fullest sense, both in ourselves and in others.
Sir Ken has inspired so many educators and organisations through his truly deep insights into how we will ultimately solve the world's problems through collective creativity. So if you are a teacher and know that you want to bring a change of emphasis to your students, and develop open create school climates, then this book will be a perfect resource. Written in 2001 - more relevant than ever in 2008/09.
This book is equally important for all other types of organisation as well.
For a good insight into this topic watch Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk - "Do Schools Kill Creativity"... literally hundred's of thousands of people have!
Excellent ! October 30, 2008 Alvaro L. M. Coelho (Miami, FL) I saw Sir. Ken Robinson's video at TED and I share basically the same oppinions about education problems.
This book give me a more detailled view about the new world to come and the challenges in this century.
Excellent book to open new horizons and a great base for research in creativity for innovation.
