| Customer Reviews: Like it, but we're not hooked yet September 29, 2008 D. Hammer (WA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter is three and has learned her alphabet and is doing some beginning reading activities, so I thought I'd balance it out with teaching her numbers. She can count to 14 on her own, but her visual recognition of numbers needs work. With this product, she likes to write and do the activities in the workbook, but the problem is there are not enough activities in the book to practice writing and learning each number well. She wants to go to the next page, and that's a new number so she is not getting the reinforcement she needs. The computer game loses her interest quickly, which is unusual since she loves computer time. It is a very basic numbers game based on aliens, which she is not interested in. If offered to her, she will choose other games instead. It is nice to have number flash cards that you can learn many games for, and my daughter likes the bingo cards. However, the product doesn't make me want to run out and buy more from the Hooked On group. Leap Frog seems to have better products that meet our needs.
