Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Escaping the port city of Vritannis is no easy task, for even the finest ship is useless if it can't be reached, and a horde of Kushan monsters stalks the city's docks. Led by a powerful necromancer who has mastered both the elements and the monsters of the deep, this hideous brigade may be too much for Guts the Black Swordsman and his companions to handle, even if Guts and Schierke are able to join forces and control the awful wrath of the Berserker armor. And will it even matter, if the Kushan emperor makes Guts an offer he can't refuse?

Customer Reviews: Wicked Awsume! October 19, 2009 Philip Viens 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Miura continues with exceptional artwork, storyline, and flow! Some nice fighting action here as guts goes up against some far out enimies. Lots of suspense and intrique and yes high quality, looks like the thickness of the paper and imagery transfered to the book is back on top. Volume 30 was apparently an experiment by Dark Horse. Translations are awsume and I can't wait for the next volume! Great Stuff!
31 is a great read! October 14, 2009 O. Walker (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I want to discuss the problem with 30 has been resolved. I saw the rating was very low and people complained about quality and book size. 31 is the same size as the other volumes before and seemed fine.
Other then that what else can you expect but Berserk? There is plenty of action in this volume and an interesting battle with a wizard from the east. Also I was happy to see an appearance of Zodd which I enjoyed as he is one of my favorite characters. Not much happens here in overall plot, but it is at the very least keeping up the adreniline and perhaps moving forward on the Griffith vs. Eastern Apostle story line. There are also some note worthy frames and pages. Tnere is one of Guts and Schierke that is my favorte peice in the book. Also there is progress with Guts and the suit of armor. Could there be a way to control it without becoming a monster? Guts also gets to talk some smack at the end with delivery that is quite biting and funny.
