Great teaching aid October 15, 2009 Zachary Mcintyre (Oklahoma) I teach High School Psychology and this book is very useful as a practical/interpretive guide to the raw definitions of various mental disorders as described in the DSM-IV. If using this in the classroom, make sure to preview each "case study" because some are difficult for novices to relate to the diagnoses. Overall it is a very approachable book and a necessary companion to the DSM-IV.
DSM CASE BOOK REVIEW September 29, 2009 M. Mccann This item was received in a timely manner. I recommend this book for anyone in Psychology grad school. It is a great resource for practicing your diagnosing abilities.

DSM-IV-TR CASEBOOK / DSM-IV-TR DIAG. STAT. MAN. OF MENTAL DISORDER 4TH ED. December 8, 2008 KATTIE (CALIFORNIA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These two books mentioned above is extremly helpful for me. It was
easy to use since both books are cross references to each other. I
diffently do recomemd both books together, you just can not work
sucessfuly without the two.
I give both a 9 each.

Great companion, but room for improvement. October 6, 2008 Valerie A. Stewart (Los Angeles, Ca) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is a great companion to the DSM. However, when the 5th edition comes out, it would be helpful if the editors included a multiaxial diagnosis for each client.
