Passed November 18, 2009 Gary B I wasn't an A student in Math when I attended school almost 27 years ago, the book was an excellent tool, my exam contained a lot it was dosage calculations such as IV doses, compounding different strengths of creams together to get one, .... and you had to know the different schedules of drugs I-VI i studied very hard and it payed off, I PASSED but i cant say it was because of this book, I
used the material here Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE, PTCB) Simulation Software. 3,020 Questions. PTCB Practice Calculations, PTCB Practice Medication Usage and Administration. HIGHLY recommended
Excellent Resource October 26, 2009 R. Zettervall (Oregon) This is an excellent resource for drug listings. Everyone who takes prescription drugs should have a copy of this book. I am studying to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and this is an excellent go to book. The size of the book is nice because it's small enough to carry in a pocket, for ease of use.

I am really disappointed in this edition. The listings are not comprehensive or thorough.
It is not what I was looking for at all. Roxannna Cecco
Better for Some Than Others April 18, 2008 M. Starke (Portland, OR USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I work in a fairly large hospital pharmacy and was hoping for
a referance I could pick and use at a moment's notice. In the
couple of months I've been carrying this book around it has never
once been of any use to me.
This guide's area of speciality is aimed at the top 200 most prescribed drugs in a retail setting, an area where most experianced technicians really don't need much help. It is particulary light in the area of injectable medications used in a hospital setting.
The print is a little larger than I'd like. A lot more information or item listings could have been included if a smaller font size had been used.
For newly minted technicians working in a retail setting this book is probably worth the expense. I'm still looking for something more suitable.
