Product Description Save time on your workout and look better than ever!
Unlike traditional dumbbells, the kettlebell's center of mass is extended beyond the hand. Because more muscle groups are utilized in the swinging and movement of a kettlebell than during the lifting of dumbbells, a kettlebell workout is more effective, and yields better results in less time. The momentum generated by the kettlebell also reduces stress on the joints and minimizes the chance for injury.
While the general public is starting to catch on to the power of the kettlebell, many kettlebell books on the market merely feature exercises for dumbbells, substituting the dumbbells with a kettlebell. This approach fails to maximize the efficacy and fun of the kettlebell as a workout tool. For the first time ever, Body Sculpting with Kettlebells for Women provides a female audience with kettlebell-specific workouts.
Body Sculpting with Kettlebells for Women will teach you:
•The differences between dumbbells and kettlebells •How the kettlebell's shape enables endless variety of movement patterns •Sport-specific exercises to enhance performance •Uniquely designed exercise programs to benefit all fitness levels •Where to buy kettlebells and which kettlebells are best for your fitness level •Basic nutritional guidelines for a more effective workout
With easy to follow instructions, clear photographs, and extensive information on the kettlebell, Body Sculpting with Kettlebells for Women provides a comprehensive guide to this unique fitness tool, making these powerful workouts accessible to people of all fitness levels.
Created by U.S.A.'s first International Master of Kettlebell Sport, Lorna Kleidman, this guide is sure to bring one of the most effective workouts to date.

Doesn't do Kettlebells or women any justice November 13, 2009 Cahm Voesenek (netherlands) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm a certified kettlebell instructor and buy every book that is out there.Living in the Netherlands(where there are no kb what so ever)you must grab your info where you can. So I was excited at the thought of a new book for my bookshelf. Well what can I say, I miss a lot of key basic kb excersizes, saying don't practice in bare feet is total nonsense, all my clients do so. And the work outs which are supposed the last 45 to 60 minutes, well no way you will be wasted in the end, and they sure don't last 45 minutes. And those baby weights she's starting you off with????? Girls you can do a lot more she's giving you credit for, if you really want a usefull book get Steve Cotter's The complete guide to Kettlebell Lifting! And never start kb without a lesson with a certified instructor first!
Great book November 12, 2009 Ehleighen (Twin Cities, MN) I'm relatively new to kettlebells, maybe 2 weeks in. I purchased a GoFit brand that came with a short introductory video, and was hooked! I've always been a lazy person who hated exercise, and kettlebells are something I look forward to. I searched around for a week or so, debating about buying a workout DVD or deciding between a few books, and after reading many reviews I decided on this one, plus you can't beat $10 for a book! I was not disappointed. It has a great introduction to how she got started and the benefits she gets, plus a brief story on the history kettlebells. Then great illustrations of many kettlebell exercises, and 3 different workout plans so you can progress to something more challenging as you get more fit. Very clear and concise. I'm very pleased I picked this book. It's amazing how much your heart rate goes up with just a few swings of the kettlebells, what a great workout!

After training a few times with Lorna, I was inspired to purchase her book. Don't let the title fool you, this book and the workouts are not just for women only!! The drill combinations are clearly explained, well thought out and challenging for all levels of kettle bell lifters!! Lorna is one of the greatest trainers in NYC and I love her book.
Lots of great exercises and programs October 23, 2009 R. J. Chappell (Louisville, CO United States) This book is great, very concise. There are guidelines for properly using the kettlebells, lots of exercises and complete programs.
ultimate workout October 23, 2009 the doc (usa) What makes Lorna's instruction so unique is her combination of movements into an incredible workout, not only anaerobic, but also a great aerobic workout. You will see incredible changes in the shape of your body that occur in a short period of time and are long lasting. There is no other better workout than utilizing the kettlebells the "Lorna way."
