Product Description
It's the world's most recognizable, straight-forward exercise, but most people don't know it's actually a hardcore full-body workout. 7 Weeks to 100 Push-Ups is the ultimate program to train the body to go from just one push-up to 100 consecutive reps in under two months—sculpting muscles in the chest, abs, back, glutes and arms without a single piece of unwieldy equipment.
The book starts with detailed instructions on how to perform a proper push-up and how to maximize its benefit, breaking down the strength-building effects muscle by muscle. In addition there are day-by-day and week-by-week exercise plans that outline how to work up to 100 push-ups safely and effectively.
The program continues with push-up variations, alternating hand position and stance to effectively target specific muscles rarely developed by the average person. The book also prepares readers for strength training with specific diet and nutrition plans and additional aerobic work.

Get in shape the smart way. February 23, 2010 Susanna Hutcheson (Midwest U.S.A.) As a fitness enthusiast and someone who spends a lot of time lifting weights and getting and staying in shape, I found this book well-written and the program easy for anyone to work into their lives. Push-ups are the perfect exercise. They work all your muscles. They are a compound exercise, which is the best kind. Moreover, you get one great cardio workout. Push-ups are tough. But if you work with this program, you'll work up to 100 plus push-ups and have lots of fun while you're at it.
Everything you need to do push-ups is in this book. You'll also discover how many a person your age should do to be in great shape and you'll learn the shape you're in now. (That might be a bit depressing.)
The author tells us on page 20, "Push-ups are functional, multi-joint, multi-muscle movements that mimic the actions and movements we perform on an everyday basis." I find this the very best form of exercise because it gives us a better quality of life while giving us lovely muscle. We also get useful muscle and a body that performs everyday tasks for us easily.
As the author tells us, "Push-ups don't have to be a chore and, in all honesty, they can be a lot of fun while also providing tremendous benefits. For this reason, the humble push-up is the most basic exercise used in civilian athletic training or physical education and, especially, in military physical training. Push-ups not only develop the upper body and the midsection as a whole, they also provide an effective cardio workout."
Now, I ask you, what more can you ask of an exercise that only requires one thing --- you?

Kindle version is a rip off!!! February 20, 2010 John Fitzgerald (California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this book as a kindle version. I would suggest that you DON'T DO IT! It is impossible to read the charts on the kindle version. Without the charts, this book is useless. I feel like I have been ripped off. The publisher nor Amazon will do anything about it. You will just be out the money that you pay them. It makes me wonder how many other KINDLE books are a rip off. Maybe KINDLE isn't such a great buy after all. I am VERY disappointed with the PUBLISHER and AMAZON!
Beginner? Buy the book! February 7, 2010 D. Love (Oregon or Austria) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I started the program using the hundredpushups website and then midway through the program I bought the book. I wish I had bought the book first. There are way more workout plans for beginners in the book and good info on how to do proper pushups.
The book is a little light on details during the program but I also bought it for all of the post-100 maintenance content.
I highly recommend this book to anyone attempting this program (especially beginners).
Behold, the Pushup February 6, 2010 E. Johnson (New York, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a terrific book for busy people who need a specific goal to spur them on. It is about the multiple benefits of doing pushups. The program is 7 weeks long and you incrementally build up as you go. What I found great was that the plan didn't include a million other exercises or diet recommendations or other filler. And you will be amazed at your steady progress and increased strength.
Don't Buy This on the Kindle February 5, 2010 Johnathan D. Wilber 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm giving a low rating for Amazon and the publisher on this one. There are charts in here that you'll want to have on paper, and Amazon refused to let me print them out. There are also cross references that should be hyperlinked in the epub file, and that hasn't happened here--so you're left to wonder where page 67 is, for instance.
